Crow's Pick For Jan 15 ~ Kelp on cause.

I don't see God claiming to have sent all natural disasters to smite the wicked.

I really detest it when each and every natural disaster is attributed to divine punishment. Right now, I'm particularly POed, I guess because of Pat Robertson running his mouth about it re: the Haiti earthquake.

Plate tectonics is a feature of the planet we live on. Earthquakes happen. When they're small, does that mean that we haven't been particularly wicked? When we don't have any, does that mean we've all been exceptionally good?

Instead of declaring God's intent on His behalf, why not just help these poor folks out however possible?

      Thanks, Kelpie!

So? God denying secularism has controlled most of Europe for a long time. Where's their catastrophe?

Without a direct word from God as in the case of Sodom and Gomorrah or Nineveh, I think the most prudent course of action is to default to Jesus' words in Luke 13:1-5
