Not to mention, he's nutty about cracking down on marijuana. He's an absolute hypocrite on 'states rights': He loves it when 'states rights' allows for racism, and hates it when 'states rights' allow people to treat their illnesses with painkilling marijuana.

And his history of racism and cracking down on black voters is despicable.

And he seems to have committed perjury multiple times when asked about his meetings with Russians. At this point I could believe that Sergey Kislyak carried one of those forgetfulness devices off Men In Black... no one ever seems to remember meeting with the Russian Ambassador and discussing lifting sanctions on Russia with him.

As best I can tell, Jeff Sessions is just an all-around bad guy with zero redeeming features. He should be in prison for perjury.

"[Think about all the abhorrent policies Sessions has already put into motion in his five short months at the helm. He has provided legal backing for Trump’s extreme immigrations policies. He has argued that authorities can keep grandparents apart from their family when enforcing Trump’s controversial travel ban. He is laying the groundwork to crack down on the millions of people who use recreational marijuana in states where it is now legal. He has planned a crackdown on leakers and whistleblowers, while also refusing to rule out prosecuting news organizations directly for doing their job.

He plans on essentially dismantling the vital civil rights division at the justice department and giving local police officers a free hand to continue to discriminate against African Americans. He wants to reverse the Obama-era policy on mandatory minimum sentences and press for still longer terms, whose impact is so extreme they are rightly seen as racist. Sessions has rejected scientific findings about improving the forensic evidence process that has led to countless innocent people being thrown in prison. The list goes on.

Sessions is exerting more power over millions of Americans than any other Trump cabinet member and is an unmitigated disaster for civil rights, civil liberties and criminal justice reform. If Trump wants to fire him, then good!]"

Thanks. It was a very important article providing relevant knowledge. Sometimes - especially right now - so many absurd things are going on that rather absurd stories get covered up by even more absurd stories.

          Why is that abhorrent?

He has argued that authorities can keep grandparents apart from their family when enforcing Trump’s controversial travel ban.
He argued against redefining what a "bona fide" relationship was. The SCOTUS overruled him. Big deal.

          Good. Freakin pot heads...

He has planned a crackdown on leakers and whistleblowers,
Only in relation to matters of national security and classified information, as he should do.

while also refusing to rule out prosecuting news organizations directly for doing their job.
It is not the job of news organizations to propagate illegally obtained classified information. How would you feel if the news media published your SSN as part of "just doing their job"?

Well put. Sessions has a lot of negatives, but in this instance he did the right thing by recusing himself rather than "making the Russia thing just go away", which is what Trump was demanding of his "personal attorney"...as he saw Sessions.

It’s the job of media to report the news, which is particularly important in this era of Trumpian alternative facts and lies.

The consequences for crime do NOT include overriding civil rights of citizens.

              This I gotta see...
It’s on record that many innocent victims are incarcerated (or even executed) with a disproportionate percentage of them being blacks.

No it wasn't. The SCOTUS never said it was unconstitutional. They simply clarified what a "bona fide" relative meant. But, again, idiot from Australia thinks he knows something...

I never said they were. In fact, I believe I said all hackers and stolen information leakers should have a brown recluse nest sewn up into their rectum... or something like that. It's a slap in the face of my profession, and I don't care WHO does it. They should all be shot.

Because a disproportionate amount of blacks commit crimes.

Well, considering the position has only formally existed since 1961, that's not too huge. Plus, Pete Rouse only served for 3 months, although he was only acting Chief of Staff.

That would be shortest in 56 yrs Bill, 14 presidential terms. Ya, thats huge. And it'll probably be a record far into the future as well.
