Sessions is a competent good Attorney General

He's increasing civil asset forfeiture. That's strike one, he's out in my books. Of all the corrupt and barbarous practices in the US, civil asset forfeiture has to be pretty much at the top of the list - it's the world's most a blatant violation of "innocent until proven guilty" and turns cops into highway robbers.

Not to mention, he's nutty about cracking down on marijuana. He's an absolute hypocrite on 'states rights': He loves it when 'states rights' allows for racism, and hates it when 'states rights' allow people to treat their illnesses with painkilling marijuana.

And his history of racism and cracking down on black voters is despicable.

And he seems to have committed perjury multiple times when asked about his meetings with Russians. At this point I could believe that Sergey Kislyak carried one of those forgetfulness devices off Men In Black... no one ever seems to remember meeting with the Russian Ambassador and discussing lifting sanctions on Russia with him.

As best I can tell, Jeff Sessions is just an all-around bad guy with zero redeeming features. He should be in prison for perjury.

Well put. Sessions has a lot of negatives, but in this instance he did the right thing by recusing himself rather than "making the Russia thing just go away", which is what Trump was demanding of his "personal attorney"...as he saw Sessions.
