Church of England rejects report on homosexuality

The senior leadership of the Church of England (Anglican church) has voted to reject a report from the House of Bishops that endorsed the traditional Christian teaching on homosexuality. The House of Laity had also voted to endorse the report.

This situation seems untenable. I imagine some sort of split may be in the future. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-38982013

This actually has some relevance to me. I have been considering jumping over to the Anglican side but don't think I could get in good conscience if senior leadership gets something like this so obviously wrong. (This is also why I'm not Catholic, for several other reasons...)

    Wow... that's sad.

I mean, I'm a part of ACNA which is breakaway already because of stuff like this. We are in fellowship with the global south, which is overwhelmingly orthodox.

ETA: bishops are technically the most senior, and they're dominated by the orthodox. This is primarily an issue of rogue rectors, who are becoming increasingly irrelevant.

Back when I was a Baptist, I liked the Episcopalian liturgy, but couldn't get over their errors.
Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. – St. John Chrysostom

The Anglican Ordinariate celebrate the Anglican rite within the Roman Catholic Church.

And both ROCOR (authorized by St. Tikhon before he became Patriarch of Moscow) and the Antiochians have a Western Rite derived from the Anglican rite (I've visited an Antiochian Western Rite church downtown).
