On facebook a conservative friend posted a story about Michelle Obama claiming that the founding fathers were not born in America.

This is the sort of mis-representation that is INFURIATING.
I'd like to see laws put in place such that people who write these kinds of articles are open to lawsuits.
It would be using special laws that streamline the process.

exactly. I mean first of all I think it is hitting below the belt to go after a first lady in the first place. Second, if you really have to twist the words of someone to make your attack, you are just a sleaze ball. Yellow Journalism. Facebook Fodder. It is just clickbait, designed to trick certain groups of nondiscerning people (conservatives or liberals) who won't check facts and just post anything "against the other guy" - and these companies make millions on advertising click-throughs while laughing at the gullible idiots.

What really irks me is that it used to just be these "fake news" sites that did this sort of thing, but this time around the MSM has started using the same tactics.

Liberals were ok when Obama did it, but now that Trump is doing it they're up in arms.

What Trump is doing on immigration is quite a bit different to Obama.

When Obama killed American citizens with drone strikes most liberals shrugged their shoulders.

That consistently annoyed me. I have consistently condemned Obama's war crimes frequently on this site. However US liberals seem to often go to sleep when it's their side doing it.

The same logic applies to many conservatives. If Trump uses a private email server, believe me, many conservatives won't care. But if Hillary did it, they'd be up in arms.

Well since Mike Pence and Scott Pruitt are both guilty of using a private email server and getting hacked/lying under oath about it, I guess we'll find out if the right has any consistency in their principles (spoiler-alert: they don't). Fox News' blatant inconsistency on email scandals. Mike Pence is a hypocrite on emails. Pruitt committed perjury about his private email use.

Pence was not a federal employee. Therefore he was not subject to any federal recordkeeping mandates, any federal COMSEC or OPSEC policies, or any federal classified material handling rules. In Indiana, it is perfectly legal for state officials to use private email accounts to conduct state business as long as they were made available for state-directed recordkeeping policies.

Fox News has not had "inconsistent coverage" of email scandals because they are completely different situations. And it continues to irritate me that you keep spewing your gums away on this subject where you, and the idiot leftist press corps, know next to nothing about the policies and regulations in play.

As far as Pruitt goes, all he did was copy his private account on several work emails. There isn't any evidence that he sent any from that account. That's not "conducting business" from that account. And again, like Pence, having a private account is perfectly legal.

So, once again, we see the idiots on the left on full display. They can't tell the difference between federal and state policies, copying yourself and actually conducting business, or anything remotely related to cyber security.
