April 2010 Screwballs
Prepping for tomorrow (and for folks overseas for whom it already is National Atheist Day)....
EDIT: Dangit...will a mod please add the word "Screwballs" after "April 2010" in the thread title?

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.

"I would join countless numbers of evangelical Protestants and say I have come to know Christ with fulfilling and life-changing effects and daily witness His grace and leadership in my life. But just because God in His grace and mercy has met us where we are and adapted Himself to our unique cultural and religious circumstances in no way means He has abandoned His original plan. God does not contradict Himself. Truth is intolerant, and truth is found in the Church’s living and Holy Tradition. It is my growing conviction that only a strong living Tradition can protect us from the corrosive and destructive forces of modern life, the insidious and deceptive effects of modern pluralism, and the disheartening and confusing proliferation of religious opinions...What are we to do with this "cloud of witnesses," this Holy Tradition through which they live and speak with such clarity and certitude? Well, for me there seems to be only one logical response. I must turn to the Church and its sacred Tradition; I must listen humbly and be instructed. I cannot let God’s marvelous blessings of the past blind me to what I have missed or deter me from that to which He would lead me still. I must return home to Orthodoxy." Rev. Dorraine S. Snogren, The Road That Leads Home

St. Matthews in the City Anglican Church in Auckland, again.
After their 2009 Platinum win in for the bill board of Mary and Joseph in bed, they've done one for Easter.
This one is not as bad as the Christmas one but still worthy of mention:
Attachment 77917
(It's is important to remember that the Vicar of St Matthew-in-the-City, Glynn Cardy, doesn't actually believe in Christ, but thinks that if he did exist he was merely a good teachers, and not God ... infact reading statements from the man, I would suggest he's a gnostic atheist)"If you can ever make any major religion look absolutely ludicrous, chances are you haven't understood it"

http://www.landoverbaptist.org/ - this whole site which while hamashiachagape and I were reading last night we came to the conclusion it was all bunk. By the way, can't wait until his sermon on how Jews conducted the Passover this Sunday. It will make Easter Sunday all the more interesting. Anti-screwball for his time in coming into speak to us.

Re: April 2010 Screwballs
There was actually a holiday? Heh, how quaint.
I looked up info about it. By my reckoning, it wouldn't be a bad holiday if it weren't supporting stupid crap such as these:
The fools who invented the holiday fail in sense of humor. It's moronities like these why I wish there were more Peter Flews and Kyle Gerkins in the world, they would be most adequate in giving the holiday a proper reformation. But what better day could one pick for National Atheists Day than April 1st, April Fools Day? The Bible makes this clear. "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good" (Psalm 14:1). The Bible says that anyone who denies God is a fool!

Re: April 2010 Screwballs
1 Corinthians 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
"I recall your earliest lessons. You fell from one thousand feet during the walk of death, which, alone, was odd enough at your age, but you made short work of the walk of maiming and the walk of intense discomfort and tore your head clean off. I comforted you, well, your head, saying that you could just walk if off, because, you know, the cut was clean and then you would punch a mountain. In space!" -Master Li, Jade Empire
