Well, no. Instead of considering, I actually do so.

I've managed to get the hang of not writing an essay every post and to try and be a little more light-hearted and slightly less obsessively content focused that I used to typically be, but you guys could at least try for a worthwhile point now and then rather than nothing but snark.

When you blatantly misrepresent your opponents and engage in hyperbolic personal attacks, you're going to get snark. More reasonable posts merit meaningful response. When I agree with you, I even give you an "Amen." You've been binge emotion-posting lately, however.

IIRC, Starlight said he was going to vote for the Green Party in the upcoming NZ election. That makes him one of something like 5% of NZ voters. So he is by no means representative of mainstream NZ.

That's what happens when you make politics into your god and your chosen messiah loses an election. It's easier to accept the lie that Clinton lost due to some vague 'interference' (which has never been defined beyond vague accusations) than to accept the fact she lost due to her own scandal ridden legacy, general incompetence, inability to connect to anyone beyond her base, or her elitist attitude.

I have it on good authority from conservatives in this forum that that can't be possible. I'm apparently to the left of Marx and nobody can possibly be more liberal/left than me, and I'm apparently in no way representative of any significant group of people in NZ whatsoever (as proven, apparently, by the fact that I usually vote for the 3rd largest of the 7 parties in our parliament). Although I would argue that Jesus is to the left of me, as he kind of went on and on and on about wealth being bad and helping the poor and thought that rich people should give away all their money to the poor or else go to hell, which seems kind of more extreme than Marx or me.

But you do make me curious... what leads you to say your kiwi friend was significantly to the left of me?

They rejected the political system altogether, and preferred to rant about GLBT issues (and occasionally Maori issues). The bizarre rants about how such things as Batman were emblematic of the patriarchy were not things I could imagine you saying
