It appears that a number of conservative congresspeople are thinking of backstabbing their own president. They may very well try to kill Trumpcare, seeing it simply as Obamacare 2.0.
We can be sure that none of the Dummycrats will vote for the bill. The Trumplicans can't afford to lose too many of those conservatives, especially in the Senate. Conservatives should realize that their time is done, and step aside for the new generation of Trumplicans. Some, possibly a lot of them are calling for a simple repeal of Obamacare, followed by negotiations on how to replace it. Right, like conservatives could ever decide on a replacement. Hint: they can't.
What if no bill ever gets passed, and Obamacare stays law for the next four or eight years or more? Health care costs will continue to rise. More and more people and companies won't be able to afford it, so the government will have to pay out more and more subsidies, cranking up the deficit. It would be ironic if conservatives managed to ensure that the very law they've been trying to get rid of stays in place indefinitely.
