Photodynamic therapy
Has anybody undergone photodynamic therapy for sun damage?
I am facing this next week and am a bit daunted by it, and wondered if anybody had experienced it.
A good website about it is here:

Any thoughts would be welcome.

well, I've never undergone it or heard of it. After reading through the link I hope it's not for a pretreatment of anything serious. I wish you much success and hope the results are what you are looking for. God bless you

Re: Photodynamic therapy
Thanks, princesa.
I had the first treatment last week, and have the second one next Thursday. The treatment was totally painless, I looked "normal", no redness or anything like that, but I had to hide in the dark for 48 hours afterwards, as the cream used makes skin highly photosensitive and I was in danger of third degree burns if I wasn't careful, just from the diffused light coming into the house.
It is for "possible pre-cancerous sun damage" on the side of my nose. Hopefully this will catch it and deal with it so it doesn't get worse. And it should also deal with a few age spots on my face. So that's a bonus.

wow, I didn't realize the skin could be so sensitive afterwards. I hope the 2nd treatment (and hopefully the final treatment) end with positive results. I hope to hear good news on your results very shortly.

Re: Photodynamic therapy
The second treatment went pretty much the same as the first. I don't know what the end result will be, as I don't see the doctor again until July.
He may want me to undergo further treatments.
