My kettle boils water faster than the microwave.

The new roguetech™ microwave can boil water in 3 nanoseconds.

Of course you have to wait for 20 years for the radiation levels to reach safe levels. But on the plus side the water will still be hot.

I heard a story doing the rounds that most of you Americans boil water for a cuppa in the microwave rather than just turning the kettle on.

Why? Inquiring minds want to know.

I didn't even own a kettle until Christmas this last year. Now I have an electric kettle, which I use.

I use a Keurig machine. Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, all ready on the press of a button.

They do because it's easier. Even easier than cranking up the Keurig.

nuh-uh! My Keurig is always ready and hot and I just pop in a pod and press a button. 30 seconds later I have my hot beverage.

We have a Keurig machine at work. It's convenient, but it doesn't make very strong coffee. I liked the old machine better, because it at least had an espresso setting.

perfect for me. I don't like really strong coffee. Plus it lets me try various styles and grinds. It even has a manual cup where I can put in my own ground coffee. And like I said it does teas and hot chocolate too.

Keurig makes garbage coffee. I use a French press, because I am a snooty hipster. I have a grinder too when I can afford to buy good quality whole bean.

Because I could only use a certain amount of grounds, I could only make a certain amount of coffee before the grinds to water ratio was garbage.

I like a lot of coffee.
