Re: Nancy Pelosi....
You must live in a cave then.
Oh, really? How so?It is the crud that comes out of her mouth that is vile and ugly.
Actually in legislating, that's business as usual. She actually said that we would have to find out what was in the 2500 page Bam-a-care Bill after it was passed. That's the heights of arrogant elitism.
"Voter" outrage? More like the outrage of sore losers who feel an entitlement to win every election. There were real actual physical threats to Congressman Llloyd Doggett, Senator Claire McKaskill, and others. Representative Tom Perriello of Virginia was believed to be living in a house where his brother lived, and a gas leak was intentionally created which could have killed Perriello's brother and his family. After the Passage of HCR, some teabagger leader recommended his adherents throw bricks through Democratic Party offices' windows, and several complied. There were actual threats. This is well-documented. Pelosi spoke the truth. She likened voter outrage at Town Halls to physical threats.
In the case of the situations you cited she was realistic. She is paranoid.
For what? She ought to have a guilty conscience
That sounds reasonable enough. Then she tried to imply that what she had done with legislation was some kind of Christian work. "The Word," she said.

Lacking facial expression and tone of voice, a lot of things in print are very easily misunderstood.
Like my initial comment upon which you pounced forcefully.
Perhaps I could have worded it differently, but it was simply a comment indicating that, for an older woman (which she is, as a matter of fact) she is attractive. I happen to appreciate "older people" who care enough about themselves to maintain a professional appearance.
Rather than ask for clarification what I meant, you assumed it was an attack, and pounced.
Perhaps, in the future, you might ask a question instead of launching a preemptive broadside?

CP, this must be your first encounter with Da Blonde.
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)

Re: Nancy Pelosi....
No. It is not the usual procedure. Even the Democrats admitted they had not read it all. It was put together in different Democrat dominated and chaired committees. Republican objections were ignored. Republican amendments to the legislation were not even allowed to be voted on in committee. None of this was 'business as usual.'
Do not use terminology that is vulgar and offensive, and refers to a perverted sexual act.
The town halls I'm talking about were before the vote.
Despite all the liberal fear-mongering and accusations, the vast majority, almost ALL political violence, has come from the Left. Remember the 60s radicals? The rock-throwing protestors of the Arizona imigration law?
Even fascism is a progression from the Left. Though liberals wrongly try to apply it to conservatives, it arises from too big a government trying to restrict the people's normal and natural freedoms. The End From The Beginning by Ty Aldrich is available at www.lulu.com/content/2614100 It is NOW AVALABLE through Barnes and Noble in ebook format.

Re: Nancy Pelosi....
That's not the TW way, as you can certainly see from the posts which followed yours. However, I appreciate your characterization of Pelosi and your statement you were unaware of the "our women are beautiful and theirs are ugly" meme put out by republican-conservative adherents at times. Thank you for the explanation.

Re: Nancy Pelosi....
Perhaps you can provide documentation of same since I've seen beaucoup documentation otherwise. How many times have you lobbied Congress? Less than I have, I suspect.
LOL! Oh, the naivete.Even the Democrats admitted they had not read it all. It was put together in different Democrat dominated and chaired committees. Republican objections were ignored. Republican amendments to the legislation were not even allowed to be voted on in committee. None of this was 'business as usual.'
Say what?Do not use terminology that is vulgar and offensive, and refers to a perverted sexual act.
So?The town halls I'm talking about were before the vote.
LOL! An assertion stated with indignance is the mark of weakness.Despite all the liberal fear-mongering and accusations, the vast majority, almost ALL political violence, has come from the Left.
Ah, yes, like Fred Hampton, murdered by right-wing cops?Remember the 60s radicals?
How are they different from right-wing rock throwers who threw rocks through windows at Democratic party offices after passage of HCR? Except their color, I mean. The rock-throwing protestors of the Arizona imigration law?
I see. So, then, you must be in favor of same gender marriage and pro-choice as well. Thank you for saying so.Even fascism is a progression from the Left. Though liberals wrongly try to apply it to conservatives, it arises from too big a government trying to restrict the people's normal and natural freedoms.
