Those are glib exagerrations but miniscule compared to, say, Gingrich's. Just not excusable because she's a wuuman.

The last is incongruent to those who are unaware that welfare contributes to the economy greatly. The day the eagle flies, grocers, utility company employees, sellers of shoes and the like, etc., all are faced with a massive influx of cash. Welfare is the greatest transfer from the government to the middle class there is. The poor just carry it along a little bit, usually no ore than a day or two.

HCR is no different from the appropriations bill as it's been passed every year from Babylonian times onward - nobody really knows what's in it until the dust gets settled. That's just the way stuff happens.
