Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing Jehovah-Jireh...
God works in mysterious ways His blessings to provide...
    Shalom!

If you’ve ever questioned where God wants you to be question no more because Paul has the answer for you. ”...We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead.” (2 Corinthians 1:8–9, NLT, selected portions)

According to Richard Blackaby in his book Experiencing God, God wants you to, “Adjust your life to God and what you see Him doing in your situation. Do all He tells you to do. Experience God working in and through you to accomplish His purposes.” (Experiencing God, page 175, B&H Publishing Group. Kindle Edition)

“The Lord gave another message to Jeremiah. He said, “Go down to the potter’s shop, and I will speak to you there.” So I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel. But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over. Then the Lord gave me this message: “O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.” (Jeremiah 18:1–6, NLT)

One of the hardest things God asks us to do is to look our burdens of difficulties adversities in the eyes and say, “God is doing something in my life, I don’t understand what it is right now but all things work together for the good of those that love Him. And I love God!” As I look back on what I’ve just written I can honestly say there are times when I’ve said in response, “Bah! Humbug!” I remember thinking that as I began to realize our dream of retiring to Townsend, Tennessee began to vaporize. And even now when I think about Patti and I going back to visit the Smoky Mountains or see a FaceBook post those feelings of frustration and hurt resurface yet deep in my heart I can visualize those words again and feel the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit, “God is doing something in my life, I don’t understand what it is right now but all things work together for the good of those that love Him. And I love God!”

Those words may sound hollow, foolish, depressing, and lifeless to someone without a relationship with Jesus but they are the WHY they need a relationship with Jesus. There are times in everyone’s life when faith says, “Go ahead, believe in and give Jesus a real chance because when Jesus shines His Light on your life you’ll see yourself and life with a different perspective.”

Faith isn’t hoping for the best life has to offer, Faith is anchoring oneself to the Best God has to offer!

“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”**

    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
