It is the those under Trump in the White House that have had to change there stories over time concerning contacts and meetings with the Russians. Yes, but the poor WH staff is not dealing with a stable or honest person. And his growing paranoia as the Russia investigation gets closer to his financial dealings, makes him even less stable. He will likely pardon those complicit in the scandals, including, of course, his family, but also (as a way to keep them from cooperating with Mueller's investigation), Manafort, Flynn etc. Every move will further inflame the reasonable and rational parts of the Republicans and the public. Ultimately, one hopes to remove him.
