  • Paul Ryan: We're not going to give up on destroying the health care system.

It looks like a slip-up of speech, but at least it's openly said now.

It's an out-of-context quote from a few years ago about his desire to destroy Obamacare. It is, however, amusing given the present context.

Plus, conservatives had great fun for years misrepresenting Pelosi as having said that they had to pass Obamacare so people could find out what was in it, as part of their fanatical propaganda that Obamacare was being passed in secret (also: Death Panels, seriously). So what goes around, comes around. Their accusations against Pelosi should be doubly embarrassing for them in retrospect since the Republicans now have actively tried to pass their healthcare bill in a hurry and keep it secret until the last minute, which were exactly the things they falsely accused the democrats of doing with Obamacare.
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump
"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism" - George Orwell
"[Capitalism] as it exists today is, in my opinion, the real source of evils. I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy" - Albert Einstein

Paul Ryan doesn't need to be removed as Speaker of the House.
He needs to be removed from office.

He has proven himself to be an incompetent boob.
The Republicans had 8 years to put together an alternative bill - to lay it out before the American people - to have it ready to go and instead we get a hack job.
That isn't leadership, that is just a big waste of time.

If he new he had nothing he should have advised the President that he had nothing and dealt with this issue a little further down the line.
He was so busy trying to sabotage Trump that he didn't do his job.
      Hit the bricks.
Actually YOU put Trump in the White House. He wouldn't have gotten 1% of the vote if it wasn't for the widespread spiritual and cultural devastation caused by progressive policies. There's no "this country" left with your immigration policies, your "allies" are worthless and even more suicidal than you are and democracy is a sick joke that I hope nobody ever thinks about repeating when the current order collapses. - Darth_Executor striking a conciliatory note in Civics 101

Okay, now you got some sore-loser feeling out of system of yours, I will burst bubble of yours: this is not loss for conservatives. Because

        a) conservatives don't like RINO fake conservative Ryan. Actually for months they wanted him fired!!
        b) conservatives want repeal of Obamacare, don't actually want Trump/Ryancare.

So conservatives fought again Ryancare, and they stopped it. So they won. Might even be bigly win if Ryan gets fired.

        P.S:

Pelosi as having said that they had to pass Obamacare so people could find out what was in it
It was great seeing Pelosi demand Ryan say what was in the bill!!!
Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return.

I agree with the first part but am not sure what you're saying about Ryan sabotaging Trump. Are you speaking about during the Rebulican primaris and nomination process or later, during the attempt to pass the Republican repeal and replace bill? Or something else?

He should have been planning for a Trump win.
A bill should have been ready and pre-sold to the American people.

That part I understand and agree with. What I don't get is when and why you think Ryan was sabotaging Trump. That sounds like Ryan deliberately wanted Trump to fail, either during the campaign or perhaps even after he was already elected president. Is that what you meant that Ryan deliberately wanted Trump to fail in the passage of a health-care bill?
