The media dinosaurs need to give up and get a new gig. They're like that thirty year old emo dude who won't give up the skinny jeans.

Whenever I read our watch anything interesting in the old school media I have to spend half a day finding out if it's reality based.

I have gotten an entirely new outlook on the media.

They are the television version of an internet forum like tweb, or facebook.

Instead of reporting actual news any more, all they do is "share" each others stories (how many times have you read a story on CNN that says "as reported in the WP" or on NBC that says "CNN reported that") or just outright make up stuff "US Officials have said that..." without any actual sources, or just started arguing with each other and calling each other names? Or Blogs just shouting out nonsense and making up fake news from scratch?

I swear, if you watch the news and news commentary shows and compare them to the civics threads on Tweb, or Reddit or facebook, it will all make a lot more sense.
