Deeper Waters Forum Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

Deeper Waters is founded on the belief that the Christian community has long been in the shallow end of Christianity while there are treasures of the deep waiting to be discovered. Too many in the shallow end are not prepared when they go out beyond those waters and are quickly devoured by sharks. We wish to aid Christians to equip them to navigate the deeper waters of the ocean of truth and come up with treasure in the end.

We also wish to give special aid to those often neglected, that is, the disabled community. This is especially so since our founders are both on the autism spectrum and have a special desire to reach those on that spectrum. While they are a special emphasis, we seek to help others with any disability realize that God can use them and that they are as the Psalmist says, fearfully and wonderfully made.

You still haven’t established that inerrancy means every manuscript must be handed down perfectly.

The originals are lost as of today and the Bible today is not fully inspired by God since there are contraditions in today Bible as shown, for example, between 1 Timothy 6:16 and Matthew 5:8.

The problem becomes clearer when we realise that the Protestant Bible has 66 books while the Catholic Bible has 73 books. However, each of the Catholic and Protestant Bibles claims to be God only inspired bible.

What matters is the unchanged fact that the Bible today is not fully inspired by God with such contradition despite how this contradition got in today Bible.

By the way, contradition between 2 kings 8:26 and 2 chronicles 22:2 is one of many contraditions in Bible today.
The underlined is merely an assertion, and has not been shown. You might believe it, but you've not given us any reason to do so.

Your above saying does not solve this contradition.

No has shown how the pure hearted ones will see God in Matthew 5:8 when 1 Timothy 6:16 says "no one can see God"

All you seem to be able to do is repeat the phrase "there are contradictions" when asked to demonstrate why these prove that the Bible is not the work of God. Christian scholars are well aware of these passages.

Not trying to solve any "contradictions", mostly due to your unwillingness to even listen when we do try and converse with you. Based on everything I've seen here, you are not honestly seeking an answer, but trying "gotcha games".

Yep. This is just someone who doesn't know what is meant by inerrancy or inspiration.

God's inspired revelation cannot have contradition; as such it is contradition when Matthew 5:8 says " the pure hearted people will SEE GOD" WHEREAS 1 Timothy 6:16 says " No one Can see God"

Thank you for proving my point. Somebody else already explained how those can be reconciled but you ignored his argument.

Congratulations. In your stubborn invincible willful ignorance, you have successfully found an excuse to remain an infidel.

Your above words still does not provide us with a way to reconcile between Matthew 5:8 and 1 Timothy 6:16 and the fact remains it is not possible to reconcile such doctrinal contradition where in Matthew 5:8 pure hearted people will SEE God whereas "NO one CAN SEE God" in 1 Timothy 6:16.

Can you see what is invisible? How do the blind see? Space, by the way, is invisible, and we see space by the things in it. Yet we do not see space itself, only the things in it, by which we know it is space. Now God is not space.

Now the Prophet you know as the man Jesus knew God. And like God's written word being spoken, was conceived in His mother by God speaking Him to be conceived. What God speaks is inerrant, does that not make the Prophet Jesus inerrant?

Did not the invisible God appear to Moses as a flame in a bush?

Churchill once said something about how men can often stumble over the truth, but then they pick themselves up and run off as if nothing ever happened.

I guess that means the Quran is not God's inspired word either then.

                                From Carm.org:

What was man created from: blood, clay, dust, or nothing?
"Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood," (96:2).
"We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape, (15:26).
"The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was," (3:59).
"But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing?" (19:67, Yusuf Ali). Also, 52:35).
"He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer! (16:4).
