Re: The TektonTV Thread
Which is exactly why it is even more important to teach practical apologetics to kids from the get go.
When I was in High School (I only matriculated 14 years ago), we maybe tossed around a few ideas. Most would only really encounter skeptical arguments in Uni.
Since then YouTube has exploded onto the scene. Now you have kids iin their early teens watching you tube clips of their favourite Christian songs, and immediately in the comments you have the FA's sprouting their nonsense in the comments.
Unless these kids are taught about Apologetics, that there are answers to the nonsense the FA's spew forth and that faith really is (to quote Spurgeon Faith is knowledge, belief, and trust. ie. We have to have knowledge about the things of God. We have to believe them to be true and we have to trust on it.), they will end up no better than the FA's."If you can ever make any major religion look absolutely ludicrous, chances are you haven't understood it"

Re: The TektonTV Thread
Of the people whom I know in "real life" (aka from personal face-to-face interactions, not just from Tweb or YouTube), some have read Mere Christianity and a few have heard of (though not read) Strobel's Case for Christ.
That's it. That's actually the best apologetics stuff that they're aware of.
Also, from my observations of the books that they're reading, these seem to be the most popular:

"I hate Manwe's posts because I hate babies and America." --Augustine2004, August 6, 2011
Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'
The Words of Húrin and Morgoth, "The Children of Húrin" by J.R.R. Tolkien

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.

JP (or anyone else), do you know a good, social-science savvy commentary on Song of Songs?

I'm looking for some good Song of Songs commentaries as well. I'm looking into Jerome Walsh's and Lyle Eslinger's interpretation of Song of Songs 5:5.
