Re: The TektonTV Thread
No need to be ripostic.
Feel free to make suggestions, sure. I do have an engagement I'm working on right now with a lower caliber sort (you'll recall I asked you to look for someone) but as on Tekton as a whole, I'll do them all.
Of course these things WILL take longer than writing an article. But such is the inevitable process in trying to communicate to the YT generation.
Besides, i think jimbo missed me.
***
Since others may ask, I'll add this...
I decided on the jimbo parody first so I could have a ready made audio track to work with, one I didn't have to edit. This film software (Vegas) isn't something you learn on the fly; I wanted to learn it well, which meant acquiring skills one at a time. The jimbo vid was a good chance to concentrate on the video editing portions without bothering with other aspects (audio, sound effects, etc) though I did end up doing a dash of audio editing near the end of the song to get rid of the original "dust in the wind" background vocals.
My next project, the one I am doing now (styled "NG"), will require me to learn coordination of the various film tracks, and also the use of my artwork with a sort of primitive animation. The target is not a "serious" skeptic though it is one that gets a lot of attention (undeserved). So my reply film will be a mix of serious and silly.
For more serious subjects like Carrier I arguably should use a "live" component. That will mean a webcam and better lighting for the room I'm in. Which also means more $$. So keep in mind that "suggestions" may need financing to become a reality. I can draw toons cheap (pack of paper = $4.99; pen = $1.10). Live film is a bit more costly to initiate.Last edited by jpholding; September 10th 2010 at 01:17 PM.

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.

If you ever need help w/ history stuff, I'm doing a History Course at the University of Chichester. For example, I've recently just read up about the Spanish Conquest of Mexico and South America.
Crab Battle
noun
Words uttered to incite an all in brawl. Whoever says the words 'Crab Battle' will usually be spear tackled to the ground by anyone else present, and all parties will then engage in a fight to the death.
Reality untouchable, transparent, invisible to our fixed, restricted fields of vision. Existence taken for granted, absolute. Possessed, owned, controlled by the common sense-infected rational gaze, onward forever we walk among the ignorant. Never stray from the common lines.
