Inevitably I'll have to do some stuff on the likes of Joyce Meyer, and YT fundy Christians, once I get through with YT fundy atheists. Of course, I have already gotten a small start by dressing up NephilimFree as Tweedledee....

On that note, UKC, since you've been there a while...I remember looking at a list of apologetics channels you once pointed me to...the impression I get is that the nuttiest Christians like NephilimFree and VenomFangX are the ones who get the most attention/views. Well, are there any sensible Christians with lots of views, or with more than 10 or 20K subscribers? Maybe shockofgod? I can't get a clear impression of him because it looks like he has a channel full of motorcycle stuff and I don't feel like rifling through it.

What is it with people? Why is "intellectual" a naughty word in our circles? It's as if the church should be separated from sound reasoning in order to be closer to Jesus. W.T.F(udge)?
There is no need to be worried by facetious people who try to make the Christian hope of 'Heaven' ridiculous by saying they do not want 'to spend eternity playing harps'. The answer to such people is that if they cannot understand books written for grown-ups, they should not talk about them.

Shockofgod seems to be another fundy in the same league as VenomFangX and NephlimFree. One sensible Christian who comes to mind is TogetherForPeace. You probably won't agree with everything he says, but he's of a much better quality than many. He doesn't quite have 10K subs. He currently has 9,152. He's been around on there since November 2006.

He does funny and serious videos. Here's a funny one from last year:

      A more serious one:

I like TogetherForPeace. Atheists like to pick on him though. Then again I've seen Christians on YouTube act dismissively towards him too, which I found to be disagreeable.

      ...anyone else?

Looking at some of his stuff...I can see he doesn't keep the atheists in line much when they use profanity, etc....seems OK and his BAP News stuff has some good moments.

Seeing stuff like this gives me a good idea why I get the reactions I do...the fundy atheists are definitely used to having their way, aren't they?

Ah well just recently he has made videos saying that he is not going to allow comments that are nothing but ridicule. He's had a lot of negative feedback. They seem to think he is engaging in censorship etc.

I guess I haven't kept them in line at all. I allow almost anything because it means no one can accuse me of censorship and also it gives me a picture of what different people think.

As for other channels, I can think of a lot of Christians youtubers I really like, but they don't have anywhere near 10K subs. James White has about the same number as Jack, but you already know about him. I am not really sure there are any others.

DrCraigvideos who uploads videos featuring WIlliam Lane Craig (he's not Craig himself) has 8,258. I suppose that's closer to 10K than a lot of folk. I am not sure he counts though because he doesn't produce his own material. He just promotes Craig.

      Re: The TektonTV Thread

After you posted suggesting Cult of Dusty as a wrestling matcher I happened by chance on his vid How I Killed God Part 2 where he dismisses the testimony of Josephus because Josephus was not alive at the time; and then in comments claims the testimony of Tacitus is a forgery because no one mentions it until the 11th century, and also says he spent "years" "researching" these subjects.

Talk about an easy target... Maybe I'll look into that just to stir him up.

One last bit before I sign off, the next vid up with be on the Messianic secret motif and I'll use it to intro the social concepts of envy, limited good, and honor, per what I write in http://www.tektonics.org/qt/secretmess.html

Imagining someone like Dusty dealing with stuff like this could be an amusing diversion in itself.

KeithTruth has 9,580 subscribers. However, his recent videos have mostly been addressing Catholicism, Islam and Calvinism. Not much stuff directly against atheists, if that's what you were looking for.

KeithTruth did a good critique of Zeitgeist, but promotes the whole 9/11 was masterminded by the Illuminati/NWO spiel. He also thinks Catholicism is the "whore of Bablyon."

As opposed to the "whore of Babylon" you mean?

Of course, there's the "whore of Babble On", too. I think that's Tassman. Or maybe DumbassPalmer, I'm not sure which one is more annoying.

OK, I figured out how to use CultofDusty in a wrestling vid....he just needed a tag team partner. And I found one...

      http://www.youtube.com/user/ForBibletruth

Their team will be named the Wacko Fruitcakes.

Intellectual isn't too bad a word up here. 'Religion', on the other hand... let's just say that if you wanted a room-clearer, that'd be your go-to word.
