Addendum: Theo, let me make this clear. If little_monkey had demonstrated an open, honest mind, we wouldn't be mocking him at all, but rather treating him with respect. If you browse the threads in this forum, you'll see that reasonable nonbelievers like chrs181818 and Anon are treated as equals. However, little_monkey has made it clear that he prefers to remain in ignorance and delusion, and as such, he is worthy of mockery and ridicule.

Speaking of, apparently now he can't go five minutes without taking a dig at Christianity even when the thread has nothing to do with it.

"Should we say anything at all?" should be the first question. Looking at our own history of when different cultures coming into contact with each other should provide some indication of the potential issues involved.

I don't necessarily mean that it will be a re-run of "Mars Attacks", but I can imagine all of the intergalactic missionaries setting up huge transmitters to convert the heathens (on both planets) when it was found that we didn't share god stories or they didn't believe in them at all.

I don't know about invasion, considering the humongus distance separating us, but we could discuss String Theory, or the accelerating universe, or some math branch they've come across but we didn't, and vice-versa. But you're right about god stories. There is one thing, among others, I wouldn't discuss with them, and that is the screwy concept of the Holy Trinity!

It's fairly simple. Putting sexual alpha males at the top of the social order ensures that there will be no social order. An alpha male is simply a man with the body of a man and the mind of a woman. Therefore if the female attention he receives catapults him into a higher social position, he'll rely on his alphaness to stay there, and not his ability or knowledge of his job or anything outside the rather depressingly narrow skillset of status jockeying.
