Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'

I went to Maine this summer, and I can tell you that pretty much all seafood restaurants there have that same placemat.

I wouldn't be surprised, though I noted there wasn't one at the Weathervane Seafood we visited our last day.

      Re: I'm Taking a Sabbatical...

      Day 3 (Sunday, October 10)

Starting today we got a routine going where we'd drive mostly on back country roads looking for good photo ops as well as good places to take short hikes. We started by going up 95 from Bangor and exiting near Millinocket. So far that's the loneliest stretch of interstate I've ever seen but I haven't been to Montana yet either. Then we took a variety of back roads on the photo-hiking mission.

      Our stops included:

http://www.mainerec.com/katahdin.asp...04&PageNum=204 -- the Katahdin Iron Works. 19th century iron processing facility (see pic 1 below). The ranger here looked like Santa, waxed handlebar mustache included.

Lily Bay State Park -- one of ME's more remote facilities, on Moosehead Lake, a fairly large lake up there (see pic 2)

Attean Pond, near Jackman, ME -- see pic 3. You can see over 30 miles, all the way into Canada, as well as get a nice view of some phone wires.

Along the way we also discovered (pic 4) an interesting historical marker about Benedict Arnold.

We closed the day staying in Wilton, ME and had dinner at this local fave:

      http://www.thegranarybrewpub.com/

I went for the Chicken and Chorizo del Trio and Mrs H had the Mate's Roll.

This was also one of only 2 days I got to check email, though the terminal at the hotel had an annoying tendency to be unable to ring up webmail after I'd answered only 4 messages. I did not check in here at all, as promised.

      It was. Thanks.

Mrs H loves all kinds of seafood. We'll often get her some crab legs on Friday night from the local grocery. I can't stand the taste but I sometimes help out cracking them and extracting the meat.
