Yeah, it's shaken me too. only 50 years old.
He was one of the skeptics I went back and forth with. sometimes I had a lot of respect for him, other times I wanted to slap him silly. But he always made me think and we had some good discussions.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about this. FF and I were occasionally at loggerheads, but most of our discussions were cordial. And we interacted personally via PMs and email. I gave him comments on a paper he was working on and sent him a couple I had written. I’ll miss him.

We would like to be able to send flowers to his funeral, but cannot do so without the permission of those who contributed as the contribution was for site expenses.
