Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing Jehovah-Jireh...
Crossing the threshold into God’s Heart...
    Shalom!

I am back! I’m sure you’ve seen the humorous cartoon that says, “The only reason I hang around is to find out what is going to happen next,” that’s me! I’ve spent the last three days beginning a new chapter in my life I call My Journey on Insulin. After a lengthy battle to lower my blood sugar levels it shot through the roof Tuesday so I checked into the hospital resulting in going from oral medications to insulin. I knew it was coming but did it really need to I said to no one in particular? My body was the first to answer, “Yup, that’s part of your life Gary.” Then the Holy Spirit chimed in, “I agree, but don’t worry we got this.”

Of all the things I’ve learned through over the past 40 (or so) years is that God through the Holy Spirit is my constant companion, seeing Patti and I through good times and bad times. The biggest problem we face in our relationship with God is convincing ourselves that He is through the Holy Spirit indeed our constant companion. That was hard for me because I felt inferior to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. You may be thinking we are inferior to the Trinity and indeed we are but, here’s the greatest miracle of all time, the one that in a way levels “the playing field”. “When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” (Romans 5:6–8, NLT, emphasis mine)

Read this to yourself in the first person. “But God showed his great love for ME by sending Jesus to die for Me while I was still a sinner.” And please make take a special note of word STILL! You don’t need a clean slate to have a relationship with God, you get that after you establish a relationship withJesus. You know this next verse but all I want to do is give you the key it holds to unlock the door to establishing and maintaining your relationship with God. “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who BELIEVES in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NLT, emphasis mine)

I know you caught the key and if you’ve already opened the door and walked across the threshold then thank God. If you’ve unlocked and opened the door but not stepped in then take that step of faith and cross the threshold then enjoy the “Fruits” of the Kingdom. If you haven’t unlocked the door then what are you waiting for? One of the most important goals Jesus accomplished with his life, death, and resurrection was making you and I worthy enough to have a relationship with God!

No matter who tries to tell you you’re not worthy of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit (that includes you) tell them, “Jesus gave His life so I can be worthy for God to live in my heart/life!”

“Faith isn’t hoping for the best life has to offer, Faith is anchoring oneself to the Best God has to offer!”

    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
