Sad... Where are the football hooligans?

Toddlers as young as two should be taught about transgender issues, the National Union of Teachers (NUT) has said.
Delegates at the NUT’s annual conference in Cardiff called on its members to promote LGBT+ issues to children starting from nursery school.
They urged ministers to make proposed sex and relationship education (SRE) “inclusive” to so that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students “are told explicitly in the law that their lives are important too”.
Teachers noted that there are currently a “lack of policies which promote LGBT+ within schools” which they said can have a “significant negative impact” on the well-being of students and teachers in this group.

Did it fall off the edge of the map? New Zealand often gets left off the edges of maps. It's amusing, but I haven't seen it happen to England.

Oh, no wait, you're just doing your snowflake dance that someone mentioned LGBT something or other and you were triggered. You think it's the end of the country if British schools teach kids facts about the world (in this instance, that there are gay people in the world - how dare there be!). Right. Whatever dude. If those schools educate kids, it will be The End Of Britain As We Know It.

Perhaps, school lessons could be combined to insult God, Islam and teach gay, etc. issues at the same time by use of DarkMatter2525 cartoons.

I was thinking today about why it is that when I see conservative-snowflake-outrage stories of the form of "OMG schools are educating kids about the world! I have moral concerns!" that my response is always "It's good that schools teach facts. I wish they taught more facts better and faster, because that's their job." while the conservatives seem always really worried about the importance of fully indoctrinating kids while they are young with the conservative agenda.

I think there's a bit of a difference between conservatives and liberals there. Liberals like me are inclined to assume that people are generally reasonably rational and that if given facts about the world they will eventually reach liberal positions because liberal positions are rational and factual ones. So we're not inclined to get ourselves worked up into any sort of frenzy about what schools are teaching because schools don't necessarily need to teach our views for the children to eventually grow up to hold our views - the schools only need to supply the kids with the ability to think and facts about the world, and as long as the kids can reason their way out of a paper bag and know some basic facts they'll grow up to be liberals because anyone with even half a brain who sees both the conservative and liberal positions on offer will choose the liberal one. We liberals really, really believe in our view, in the sense that we believe it is rational, sane, obvious, self-evident. We think people will naturally come to share it without being indoctrinated into it or pressured into it.

Whereas by contrast, the conservatives seem to really lack any sort of conviction that their views are persuasive. So they take the view that in order to perpetuate their nonsense, indoctrination is key. They need to prevent kids hearing any alternative views that don't align with the conservative agenda. And if the kids even once hear something that's out of step with the conservative agenda, then they might Question. And then the whole edifice of nonsense will come crashing down and the kid will become a liberal. There seems to be an innate acceptance by conservatives that their views and ideas can't win in a free marketplace of ideas. They seem to realize that if their kids were brought up with knowledge of both views that there's a minimal chance of the kids ever embracing the conservative nonsense. So it's not enough merely for conservative families to share their views at home with their kids, and explain to them their ideas, to counteract the 'dangerous' influences of the knowledge the schools are teaching their kids... instead they have to shield the kids from every last shred of dissenting views in order to ensure the kids are fully indoctrinated into the conservative Truth and never ever hear the liberal views until they are indoctrinated in so deeply they can't think beyond repeating conservative drivel. So for the conservatives, education is all about indoctrination. That means home schooling is ideal. It also means that if anything that doesn't fit the conservative agenda is being taught in the classrooms at school then it must be because the liberals are trying to indoctrinate the kids into liberalism, so if the schools are teaching kids sex-ed it must be because the libs want kids to be sexually active, and if the kids are being taught that gay people exist, then the libs must want the kids to be gay.

These kids are "as young as 2 years old"!

What is it about that that fits the liberal idea of "teaching kids about the world?

A 2 year old has no concept of their sexuality, so how could they possibly grasp the concept of homosexuality or any other kind of deviancy?

It is amusing that Starlight has adopted the "snowflake" term . . .
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Conservatives use the term snowflakes to mock liberals who complain that their General Tao chicken is cultural appropriation. Starlight uses it to mock conservatives who complain about sexual predators preying on their kids. It's like he doesn't understand the point of it at all.
"As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths." Isaiah 3:12

There is no such thing as innocence, only degrees of guilt.

Since you are in favor of teaching facts, I assume you would not object to any school curriculum that included the numerous studies on the physical, emotional, and psychological problems that are an inherent part of the homosexual lifestyle, such as a significant increase in health problems and a significantly decreased life expectancy, and a significantly increased likelihood of associated mental health problems including "depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobia, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and alcohol and drug dependence".

Of course homosexuals blame their generally miserable lives on "homophobes" and try to convince themselves that they would finally be happy if only everybody else would change, but it hasn't worked.

"We'll be happy once homosexuality is no longer considered a mental disorder!"

                            Yet they're still miserable.

"We'll be happy once homosexuality is more broadly accepted by society!"

                            Yet they're still miserable.

"We'll be happy once homosexuals are allowed to marry!"

                            Yet they're still miserable.

You know what will be the saddest day for the "homosexual revolution"? When they finally get everything they want, only to discover that they're just as miserable as ever.

Starting at 2 years old does seem a little young. It's so long ago I can't remember what age I was when the subject of sex education came up at school- I remember that it was essentially too late, but then this was also before the internet so porn wasn't so readily accessible. You had to sneak a dirty mag off the top shelf & leaf through it when the shop keeper wasn't looking.

We weren't taught about homosexuality in school- we knew it existed (I was in an all boys school so being called gay was essentially the worst insult at the time).

Not against discussing homosexuality and all the rest of it, but not sure why 2 years old is a good time to start? I think that's essentially the main point the conservative posters on here are getting their knickers in a twist Starlight. Though I don't doubt they're against it being discussed in general- see MMs post about deviants.
