  • Trump would beat Clinton again, win popular vote

    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/wa...rticle/2621016

A new Washington Post poll that declares President Trump as "the least popular president in modern times," waits until the second to last paragraph to reveal another tidbit: He'd still beat Hillary Rodham Clinton if the election were held today and in the popular vote, not just Electoral College.

The poll found that Trump's polls continue to be upside down, with a 42 percent approval and 53 percent disapproval.
Trump would retain 96% of his voters. Clinton just 85%. I guess enough Democraps are displeased with the Democratic Party's reaction to Clinton's humiliating loss (blame Russia, consolidate establishment support at the DNC, pretend they and she dindu nuffin, etc.) that they'll dump them in large enough numbers to cost them an election. Of course it all depends on who the dems will run in the next election.

I wish Trump would beat her again.
Actually YOU put Trump in the White House. He wouldn't have gotten 1% of the vote if it wasn't for the widespread spiritual and cultural devastation caused by progressive policies. There's no "this country" left with your immigration policies, your "allies" are worthless and even more suicidal than you are and democracy is a sick joke that I hope nobody ever thinks about repeating when the current order collapses. - Darth_Executor striking a conciliatory note in Civics 101

Chrawnus, I don't see you crying over Vince Foster's death.
I think that people who luire other people to the park with promises of sex only to cap them deserve a good beating.

I can't tell if you're taking me seriously or not. I'm not sure which one of us is the fool here. Should I have used the sarcasm-tag?

Considering that Trump enjoyed not even a single second of the traditional post-election "honeymoon" afforded to past presidents but was instead the target of an incessant onslaught of attacks it is somewhat amazing that Trump's approval ratings aren't in the mid-20s. If Trump wasn't supplying the press and Democrats (for all practical purposes the same thing now) ammo for such attacks they simply made stuff up out of whole cloth (ranging from false reports that Trump had a bust of MLK removed from the Oval Office to claims that the countries named on the travel ban were picked because Trump didn't do business there).

Compare and contrast that to the reaction that Obama got when he started, beginning with CBS news describing his inauguration "a sacred event" and ABC Nightline co-anchor Terry Moran declaration that, "I like to say that, in some ways, Barack Obama is the first President since George Washington to be taking a step down into the Oval office." Kind of makes MSNBC's Chris Matthews' gushing about getting a "thrill up my leg" when he hears Obama speak look almost tame in comparison.

It's too bad I don't own a pet snake. Live feeding it a gerbil would have been slightly entertaining.

Trump combines within himself and his presidency the Alzheimer's / dementia and TV-watching of Reagan, with the keen intellect and knowledge of Bush Jr, the corruption of Hillary Clinton, the pathological lying of Ben Carson, the womanizing of Bill Clinton, levels of golf-playing that Obama's worst critics imagined the man did, and the 4am twitter rants of... oh, no that's just Trump, no one else in politics does that. No wonder he's setting popularity records.

After all, in his first 100 days he's... declared that the '100 day' thing is arbitrary and that it's unreasonable for journalists to ask him why he hasn't achieved any of legislative things that his website promised he would do in the first 100 days. Meanwhile 85% of the 554 key executive branch positions that need Senate-approved presidential appointments are still waiting on Trump to name a nominee, and Trump is off visiting one of his properties for the 12th weekend in a row.

The fact that this Washington Post/ABC News poll showed that not only would Trump would win again if the election was held again today, but would also win the popular vote by a substantial margin has been very shocking to the liberal media. I think that they were more than a little startled and worried that there incessant attacks against Trump are having little to no effect. That the media narrative is being rejected. Of course when virtually everyone understands that you're little more than a propagandist it is difficult to convince people of anything.

More over, perhaps it is starting to finally sink in that it just may be that Trump won not because of any supposed Russian interference but because their candidate was truly ghastly.

Still, keep in mind, this is just a poll and polling has been far from accurate the past few years -- especially when Trump is involved in the mix.

And don't forget Obama's 100-day press conference where the media basically said, "So tell us, Mr. President, how awesome are you? Pretty awesome, right?"

Do you think Trump is going to get the same kid-glove treatment at his 100-day presser? Not a chance.
