Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing Jehovah-Jireh...
Hope in God, ‘cause God is Hope!
    Shalom!

“The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” (Psalm 34:17–18, NLT)

I don’t know all the details but I am sure life has put you through the wringer. And there’s a pretty good its got the squeeze on you now. As I said I don’t know all the details but I know how it rips you apart inside, how it seems to put your life on hold, how you wiggle and squirm trying to get free but with no success. But not to worry Hope lives on the horizon. ”...We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)” (Romans 8:23–25, NLT, selected portions, emphasis mine)

In God is Hope! The Hope of God is eternal. Remember the cartoon that depicts a farmer holding a carrot on a string dangling it front of a mule to keep it moving? That describes one aspect of the Hope we get out of our relationship with God. And the Hope we get out of our relationship with God not only motivates us to keep moving forward it is also accompanied with the energy to keep moving ahead. It was the Hope of the land flowing with milk and honey promised them by God that kept them moving forty years in the desert. It is the Hope of one day when all my pain and suffering will be gone that keeps me going in spite of my negative impact on my life they are enjoying. But, guess what?

Again I don’t know all the details but I do know according to the Bible God will always have the last word. “Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay.” (Romans 8:18–21, NLT, emphasis mine)

“Faith isn’t hoping for the best life has to offer, Faith is anchoring oneself to the Best God has to offer!”

    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
