Well... that's unfortunate about Dr. Paramour, TK. Hopefully she wasn't completely atomized, since the toughness save failed by about 30.

It was my first attempt at a M&M character. I think I put too much into powers and not enough into saving throws.
The way Wild described my death, I sound pretty well atomized.

Not atomized, per se. But your body has taken a severe pounding.
"Weinberg's statement is true as far as it goes, but it is not the whole truth. To make it the whole truth, we must add an additional clause: 'And for bad people to do good things—that [also] takes religion.' The main point of Christianity is that it is a religion for sinners. Jesus made that very clear. When the Pharisees asked his disciples, "Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?" he said, "I come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance." Only a small fraction of sinners repent and do good things but only a small fraction of good people are led by their religion to do bad things."

That tends to happen when you make your first character in a new system... a common example I've used is my first character, Emerald. I completely misunderstood power arrays at the time and wound up wasting 18 power points (more than a whole Power Level's worth).
Of course, hope isn't lost with Dr. Paramour. With Some Extra Effort/Hero Points, Ignition will probably be able to do some patching up... I have the Ultimate Effort feat for Resurrection and two points in the Luck feat. If that can't do it, I don't know what can.
Also, I doubt that wild would throw an irreversible death at use because Ben was slightly trigger-happy.Disregard the above.

I'm going to be away for a week from today. If possible, I would like to give Ignition use of my lucky charm for the rest of our time down in the crucible, it should still have 3 hero points left in it. Is that doable

Not necessary. I have at least 2 hero points left at this point.
Disregard the above.

I wouldn't bother... it'll probably take us a week to break out of the cell.

In retrospect, maybe I should not have mused as to which of the party members would get turned into Chunky Salsa. Hopefully, we can bring him back.

Or we should have at least brought him back before entering the monster creation chamber. So that's the end of Nightshade for good, now? No more Sea Shadow or any of his other resources? That has to qualify for a complication at least, doesn't it? Having your leader killed and transformed into an undead abomination bent on destroying you all?

No, the Sea Shadow and all onboard are yours, as before. What, did you think Nightshade was a loadbearing NPC (IE: everything he had blows up when he is no more)?"Weinberg's statement is true as far as it goes, but it is not the whole truth. Re: M&m: W.o.t.p [commentary thread]
Just in the game mechanic, somebody's power points have to cover those sorts of things, storywise maybe there would be some sort of security lockdown that only he could release to operate it or something. Glad to hear that's not the case. It's going to significantly change the team dynamic, though.
