Male - IslamHussein-likes win and Yazeed-likes lose: LESSON OF MOHARRAM
Peace be upon everyone!
In the history of Islam, two characters have become symbols of resoluteness and oppression. One represents those who show steadfastness for the sake of Allah and the other stand for those who bloodshed for self desire and material power. One is Hussein and the other is Yazeed.
Hadhrat Hussein was son of blessed Holy Prophet Muhammad’s daughter Hadhrat Fatima, wife of Hadhrat Ali. When Islam spread very rapidly, many people entered the faith who were either not well informed about the teachings or they accepted it to use it for their latter thought out ill designs. Some of these mischievous started covert and overt acts against the caliphate. Down the road, came a person named Yazeed, who was appointed leader by his father. He and his corrupt gang tried that the Holy man Hussein should accept him as the chief. Hussein's refusal was based on principle and sense of righteousness that a father could not appoint his son for the spiritual office. In addition to that, Yazeed and his band were immoral people.
Yazeed and his people waged war on Hadhrat Hussien and his seventy or so people and family members. Hussein did his best to avoid bloodshed but they martyred Hussein and his beloveds in the month of Moharram. They mistreated the families. Then they encouraged each other to trample the body of Hussien with horses and eventually they cut his head which was presented to Yazeed.
Did the persecutors not know that the blessed Holy Prophet had showed his love to blessed Hussein and his brother blessed Hassan and had given gladtidings that these two would be granted the very high spiritual position the Hereafter.
Or did the oppressor not know the commandment of Allah: And whoso kills a believer intentionally, his reward shall be Hell wherein he shall abide. And Allah will be wroth with him and will curse him and will prepare for him a great punishment. (4:94).
Did they not know that Islam asks not to mutilate the bodies of victims of war?
Yazeed and his people's heinous deeds were not in accordance with the teachings of Islam.
The Ahmadiyya promised Mahdi says: It is is our belief that Yazeed was an impure person who did not fulfill what a true believer signifies. Love of world had blinded him whereas Hadhrat Hussein (may Allah be pleased with him) was pure and among those chosen people whom God purifies Himself. He is among those who are of Paradise. His devotion to God is a model for us. Destroyed is the heart who s his enemy and successful is the heart that demonstrates his love by practice. It is extreme lack of faith to deride Hadhrat Hussein (may Allah be pleased with him), one who does this, wastes his faith.
Month of Muharram teaches us to send blessings and salutation on the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) and his family and bring about pure changes in ourselves to play our role, we should display steadfastness in front of Yazeed-like people and be resolute. Only Hussein-like will be successful. Patience does not only signifies enduring cruelty but also means to continue doing good deeds. To express truth without fear is also patience………….Cruelty with Hussein (and previously with Jesus) shall be compensated by the divine help in success of peace message of promised Mahdi… blessed Caliph to blessed Mahdi (MTAi) explains.
Best wishes.
