Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing Jehovah-Jireh...
    My autobiography in 433 words...
    Shalom!

When I think of my life there’s nothing that really stands out. I never really applied myself in school so just managed to squeak by, in retrospect I regret now. Probably the second most notable accomplishment of my life would be 49 years of marriage to my one and only wife Patti. However my greatest accomplishment (at least for me) is my continuing intimate relationship with God, but when I stop and think about it wasn’t really my accomplishment at all, it was God’s accomplishment through His Son Jesus.

Here’s how I describe my life prior to God’s Invasion into my life. “Some sat in darkness and deepest gloom, imprisoned in iron chains of misery. They rebelled against the words of God, scorning the counsel of the Most High. That is why he broke them with hard labor; they fell, and no one was there to help them.” (Psalm 107:10–12, NLT)

I am not sure how God breaks others down with “hard labor” but with me He just went into His Observing Mode and let life take care of the rest. And life slowly and melodically beat me to the point where I knew I was fighting a losing battle finally praying, “Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He led them from the darkness and deepest gloom; he snapped their chains. Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.” (Psalm 107:13–15, NLT)

As I stated earlier there’s nothing really outstanding about me but on the other hand like you I have an outstanding relationship with God that makes me significant. Thinking back over my years before God and after God, going from insignificance to significance there has never been a time in God’s Life when there’s been a before Gary and an after Gary. Up until the day I prayed, “LORD help!” God was in His Observing Mode just waiting for the cue from me to send His Invasion Force (the Holy Spirit) into my life, since then the Holy Spirit knows only Go! Go! Go! I love it!

“LORD help!” Has been a regular part of my prayer vocabulary some of those things that beat me into submission still linger in and around me continuing to get their digs in every so often. Thank God He is no longer in an Observing Mode! That’s my story (and I’m sticking to it) but I suspect by changing a few of my experiences it could be your story. God loves you my friend!

“Faith isn’t hoping for the best life has to offer, Faith is anchoring oneself to the Best God has to offer!”

    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
