I Quit Caffeine
About two months ago I decided to quit caffeine for good. I was able to get through the withdrawal symptoms and I sleep a ton better now. This has been one of the best things I've been able to do for my health.
Anyone else kicked caffeine?

Re: I Quit Caffeine
I was addicted to caffeine for years. I went through about 6 weeks of withdrawal before I got past it. A couple years later I began drinking coffee again, but I only have two cups per day. If I don't get my coffee I do not have any sort of withdrawal symptoms. You can have it without becoming addicted.
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)

I'm trying to reduce my caffiene intake, but sometimes it is hard when I am up late or when I keep seeing a family member drink cola.

Re: I Quit Caffeine
I have coffee every once in a while, but I figure if I start depending on it to wake up, then I'll start needing it to wake up, so I don't plan to make it a regular habit.

Actually, cut back a year or so ago - drink coffee and some sodas with caffeine, but keep it limited and don't use drink anything with caffeine until well after the day is started. My most recent faith struggle is not one of intellect. I don't really do that anymore. Sooner or later you just figure out there are some guys who don't believe in God and they can prove He doesn't exist, and some other guys who can prove He does exist, and the argument stopped being about God a long time ago and now it's about who is smarter, and honestly, I don't care. ~ Don Miller Blue Like Jazz

I have a big sign over my desk that says NMCAL -- which is, being interpreted "No More Coffee After Lunch". Usually, it works.
But I'm noticing I don't sleep as soundly as I used to, so I guess I'm gonna try just a cup or two in the morning, and call it quits. We shall see how this goes.

Also, I dream a ton more and they are very vivid. I was totally surprised by this aspect of quitting caffeine.
