Feluven looses an arrow straight into the chimera's hide. It roars in anger and dives at Spike. Spike is prepared for it, delivering two swift chops at the creature's soft underbelly. His third swing misses, but by then the chimera is already lying dead at his feet. The blue-headed chimera snaps and claws at the bat swarm surrounding it. Most of the attacks seem to miss, but the massive lion's head manages to get a mouthful of bat. Broken bodies fall to the ground as the swarm breaks apart.

[I'm not sure what your goal is with this one. Here are the basic rules, though.

Hide:
-You can move up to one-half your normal speed and hide at no penalty.
-When moving at a speed greater than one-half but less than your normal speed, you take a -5 penalty.
-It’s practically impossible (-20 penalty) to hide while attacking, running or charging.
-If you’ve already successfully hidden at least 10 feet from your target, you can make one ranged attack, then immediately hide again. You take a -20 penalty on your Hide check to conceal yourself after the shot.
-If your observers are momentarily distracted (such as by a Bluff check; see below), though, you can attempt to hide. While the others turn their attention from you, you can attempt a Hide check if you can get to a hiding place of some kind. (As a general guideline, the hiding place has to be within 1 foot per rank you have in Hide.) This check, however, is made at a -10 penalty because you have to move fast.


So, if you're trying to hide while shooting or right after shooting, the -20 applies.]

Spike is looking up at the chimera in raging frustration. Until it comes lower, he can't swing at it. Spike will hold his action, until after the monster moves.

Hideous Laughter, DC16 on the Chimera.

Joseph's arrow hits the floor in front of him, narrowly missing Ulysses. Melchior and Feluven have better luck, both arrows strike true. Tasse's spell leaves all three heads laughing uproariously (literally, for the lion head). It falls from the air, crunching into the ground, laughter unabated.

Spike laughs as well. The creature is prone just 5’ from Spike. He steps next to it, winds up, and unleashes a full power attack on the chimera. {All standard, buffs, rage, power attack, and prone equal net 16/11 to hit and base 29 damage.}

Hasted raging chop 1 … fumble
First raging chop 4+16=20 to hit. Damage is 8+29+6 (fire) = 43 hp.
Second raging chop 4+11=15 to hit. Damage if hit is 5+29+3 (fire) = 37 hp.

On Spike’s next round, he continues his strategy of being a raging, foaming-at-the-mouth barbarian:
Hasted raging chop 13+16=29 to hit. Damage is 9+29+6(fire) = 44 hp.
First raging chop 1… fumble
Second raging chop 19 (crit chance) +11 = 30 to hit. 2+11=13 to confirm. (I don’t think I confirmed). Regular damage is 8+29+2(fire) = 39 hp.
