Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing Jehovah-Jireh...
God’s Building Plan for your life...
    Shalom!

“Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.” (Psalm 127:1, NLT)

God has a plan for your life, a building plan. Your relationship with Jesus provides you with an unshakable foundation upon which to build your life. The bible is the Building Plan containing the intricate details of a beautiful Temple fit for the Creator. And following God’s Building Plan and the your life experiences is Holy Spirit, God’s Authorized Contractor.

Because God’s Building Plan also includes your life experiences there will be what appears to be small imperfections, for example one of my imperfections is Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Unfortunately we see our imperfections as flaws yet they actually adding not only beauty to our lives but also stability as well because God is in the business of transforming ugliness into beauty and weakness into strength.

We have a tendency to see our imperfections/flaws as something foreign attaching itself to our otherwise perfect “Temple for God” to live in yet the truth is they are not foreign to us they are an integral part of our lives. When I was first diagnosed with IPF my initial reaction was to ask God for a healing but in my case (probably not in all cases) so God’s healing touch took me in a different direction because according to His Plan for my life it needed to be not a flaw but as something that added beauty, stability, and depth to my relationship with Him.

The apostle Paul provides us with the perfect example of what I am trying to say. “Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:8–10, NLT) The New Testament is filled with stories where Jesus healed people from their imperfections/flaws but then there’s the apostle Paul. Like Paul and I do you share the same healing experience? Has God with His Infinite Building Plan chosen to add beauty and stabilizing framework to your life?

“Faith isn’t hoping for the best life has to offer, Faith is anchoring oneself to the Best God has to offer!”

    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
