Do I have to wear a skirt? And how do I deal with not being able to find a skirt that stops less than a couple inches from my ankles? (Assume I don't want to special order a skirt to wear for 2 hours of my life.)

Where did you read/hear about having to wear a skirt to mosque? Muslim women don't wear skirts to mosques, that I know of. You can wear salwaar kameez and a head scarf. Just make sure they're not sleeveless.
