      Barnes and Noble gift card for my birthday. ^__^

      Here are my feeble Christianity and Apologetics libraries.

      Your "must haves" that I'm missing?

      Note: Most of the old classics and the ECFs can be had for much cheaper on my amazon kindle (or via CCEL) so I'm slowly accumulating them that way.

      Or, for those of you who would rather recommend history or philosophy books. These are quite welcome as well. ^__^

      Ok, but first I want the entire Brooklyn Bridge, none of that "installment" crap you tried to pull before .

      Re: I've got 50 bucks, you got recommendations?

      Of the books I can personally vouch for:

      1) "Reasonable Faith" and/or "On Guard" by William Lane Craig
      2) "Shattering the Christ Myth" by JP Holding
      3) "Honor, Patronage, Kinship, and Ritual Purity: Unlocking the New Testament Culture" by David A. DeSilva
      4) "The New Testament World: Insights from Cultural Anthropology" by Bruce Malina

      EDIT: If you go with anything I recommend, I would prioritize 3 and 4 over the first two because before you can build a house, you need a good foundation.

      "I hate Manwe's posts because I hate babies and America." --Augustine2004, August 6, 2011

      Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
      Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'

      'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'

      Kelp,be very careful of Speedies advice, as fifty bucks to him (being an English donkey )might just mean 50 times he could buck you off his back!!!!!!!

      Thanks :). I own the first two. My only issue with the Context Group is I don't know mainstream they are within broader social science. I feel like I need more basic background in the disciple, though I haven't even been able to take Sociology 101 yet.

      I think you should delve into your deeper nature with this book;

      You will then have some left over for some of this;

      How bout instead, you read some Henry Morris and rejoice in not being part of the cursed black slave race?

      See, trolling can work both ways.

      Now say something constructive or get out of my thread.

      Oh, wait, you meant books you'd like!
      "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." - Jim Elliot

      Matthew 8:26-27

      He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
      The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!"
