      Mormon Riddle

What do you call a member of the LDS who has just taken LSD and has a DSL connection to the internet?
Collectivism could be defined as a hierarchical concept consisting of at least three related subtypes focused on relations with family, peers, and society (Study II, III).
Various socio-cultural groups within a society may have different patterns of collectivism being very collectivistic in one domain of social relations but relatively non-collectivistic in some other domain
      . (Study II, III ).http://www.psych.ut.ee/esta/online/2.../realo_sum.htm
The existence of at least three interrelated, yet clearly distinguishable, subtypes of collectivism focused on relations with family ( Familism ), peers ( Companionship ), and society ( Patriotism ) was demonstrated. It was shown that various criterion groups (inhabitants of an isolated island, housewives with many children, servicemen, old members of sororities, etc.) have remarkably different patterns of collectivism: one group can be highly collectivistic in one domain of social relations and on the average level in some other domain.

      - - - A not yet excommunicated ex-Mormon attending CP’s church who is being counseled by CP who's “biggest complaints was that the "patriarchal blessing" was, in their opinions, a sham -- everybody got pretty much the same "blessing"???

I usually call him LSDTrue, but his real user name is LDStrue. Not sure about the DSL connection though. I think he is still trying to figure out how to get the two tin cans to work with the string.

      Re: Mormon Riddle

Was this an actual riddle with an actual punchline that we will get to see at some point? Or just a philosophical question that isn't supposed to have an answer or be funny?
"I think we may accept it as a rule that whenever a person's
religious conversation dwells chiefly, or even frequently,
on the faults of other people's religions, she/he is in a bad condition."
      -C.S. Lewis (Collected Letters Vol. 3 p. 209).

      Re: Mormon Riddle

While we wait for Salad to clue us in, I told my kids the following joke last week (it's an oldie, I heard it in the 1970s, but my kids thought it was funny):

Did you hear about the dyslexic hippie who mistakenly took LDS instead of LSD?

He went on a mission instead of a trip.

No, LDS,T -- my biggest complaint was the sham "prophesy" by Smith that his wife would be destroyed for not backing his other false prophesy about polygamy.

Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

That may be true Bill but mine could be considered to be more "right on" accurate...
Well, since they're not attending my church, you're about as "right on" as usual. And for WHAT are they about to be ex-communicated, LDS,T?

You never let the facts get in the way of what you want to believe.
