Nancy Pelosi: Government agency has "biblical power to cure"
http://hotair.com/archives/2011/03/1...power-to-cure/
Makes sense to me, we do have the Third Adam in the White House after all.
Obama_God.jpg
Between this and Harry Reid's assertion that some people cannot exist without government funding and it becomes pretty plain that the Democratic party is some sort of neo-communist government cult with the government as God. I guess that makes Obama the son of God and flunkies like Pelosi and Reid his apostles.

The guy who was quoted opined that it was difficult to determine. He noted that in many cases, the payoff might not take the form of votes on legislative action -- those might be detectable, and so are avoided -- but could take subtler forms, like the question that is never asked at a hearing.
The media's doing a terrific job of not asking questions it doesn't want to know the answer to. It doesn't ask these questions in bulk, and the great volume of questions it doesn't ask makes it cheap to not ask questions.
And it passes these savings on to you, the customer." Ace

Did you mean disciples?
Wait this is just an incoherent rant. You didn't mean anything, except to blow hot air from your source Hotair.
Nicely done, Botboy, you might get out of Canadian purgatory soon. Perhaps you could graduate soon and be moved to Yazoo, Mississippi, as you have dreamed. I'll bet they've even promised you a double wide stocked with Natural Light, and a Dale Jr. hat.
Pelosi is wise to advocate for continues support of the NIH, whose research benefits even the idiots in Canada like you, who pay nothing for the benefits the NIH have made. How about you pony up your share of the burden, mooch.

Re: Nancy Pelosi: Government agency has "biblical power to c
Ok...its true that there are those mentally and physically disabled to the point that they need assistance, and its true that the FDA, and the NIH are under-funded. I think instead of giving handouts though or Pelosi's dumb "biblical ability to cure" statement (umm,....yeah...no one can create a miracle cure for diseases) if the govt wants to add more money to these programs we need to cut wasteful spending and instead put it to better use. Our govt is stretched VERY thin as is. So instead of spend more more more, lets cut from stupid programs (like funding spending on studying the genetics of grapes) not fund any "pilot" programs, de-fund pp was a good idea (no offense Tim) cut the stimulus, let GM go and take it to better use

Re: Nancy Pelosi: Government agency has "biblical power to c
I'm all for a debate with people, who like me, have some skin in the game, because they pay taxes. But, let's face it, DE isn't doing anything other than distracting people from the issues. Even if her choice of words was stupid, her position on the budget issue is serious and worth discussing. It is sort of disturbing to me that more people on here, conservative or not, don't take him to task for derailing any serious discussions, and instead just bringing up divisive propaganda.
Btw, I couldn't care less if PP is defunded. And if I was you, I'd try to tone down people like DE. Because it sure seems like PP advocates are ticked off now. And it is people like DE who have raised their ire. So if I were to bet, PP is going to be just fine, now that the most hateful extremists have essentially declared war.

Re: Nancy Pelosi: Government agency has "biblical power to c
It seems to me that the issue nowadays is either to spend (Democrats) or to kinda sorta spend but a little less (Republicans). Nobody is interested in the efficiency of any government agency other than a handful of Republicans who say it isn't (and it isn't) as justification for erasing it all. Democrats don't even bother with pretenses and just outright accuse you of hating women/children/the disabled/the elderly/black people when you point out the government will go bankrupt at this rate.

And your personal Issues with Darth Executor are my problem how? I don't have any reason to "tone down" anyone. IF you have an issue with someone you take it up with them personally not wander behind their back and talk to me about it. I'm no moderator for one.
For two...I'm not a Pelosi Fan, I don't like her, AND I gave my opinion on the position she holds...I think Pelosi believe's that Govt is a god/nanny of some kind brought to fix everything. I don't like it. I don't like her and I think Obama is HER sock puppet.
And as far as Speeches ans cartoons...If the New York Slimes can do it....We have just as much freedom...you don't have to like it. This is a private thread. And this is America. Re: Nancy Pelosi: Government agency has "biblical power to c
Apparently, Botboy doesn't count the trillion+ dollars a year spent on defense and wars. Over 900 billion more than any other country. And what do we have to show for it? We get war mongering, seemingly blood thirsty stooges in other countries begging Republicans to keep spending like fools.

Re: Nancy Pelosi: Government agency has "biblical power to c
The ultimate irony is that the Republican party uses it's pandering to Christian conservatives to guilt trip Christians into voting for the party that God approves (which of course ends up with poor Christians voting against their best interests).

I'm sorry, I don't think I was clear. If I was a PP supporter, I'd try to find a whole bot farm of Darth's and unleash them.
If anyone actually read his rants, he would do more than I ever could to ensure PP survives. Similarly, he is subtracting from your advocacy, in my opinion. Whereas you might be getting people off the couch on your side, Darth is probably getting more off the couch on the PP side.

Re: Nancy Pelosi: Government agency has "biblical power to c
Well it might be easier fer a one legged ,an in a butt kickin' contest to win than it will be to find the cure fer the kind of akwired Brian disorder that 'publicans seem to have -- if funding tom the NIH is nukes.
Maybe we can jus' put some of that Thorazine on the drinkin' water to go with the natural gas and arsenic. Maybe some Indian sleazy pharmaceutical company, and buds with dem good folks at the Chamber, could hook this up fer ya'll.
