Hymns and Songs, and how they've spoken to me

My family and I have been highly intent on worship lately. We have so desired to focus on the attributes of God. So we have been singing great hymns like "O Worship the King", "I Sing the Mighty Power of God", "Let All Things Now Living", "How Deep the Father's Love For Us", and so on.

Trying hard to not place any focus on us, but all on the Lord. Nothing that seems to look at how we feel about God, but purely about Who God is and what He does.

On an old opera house in Germany there's a saying I've long loved that goes, "Bach gave us God's word, Mozart gave us God's laughter, Beethoven gave us God's fire. God gave us music that we might pray without words."
