      With God you can!

Standing face to face long ago with an angel a young woman was told she would become a mother, “How can I?” she questioned knowing she hadn’t been with a man.

The Messenger smiled and in a reassuring voice said, “For with God nothing will be impossible.” (Luke 1:37 RSV)

Perhaps today you are being told by the circumstances of tomorrow that you are facing a seemingly impossible task. Could it be a health issue? Could it be the loss of a loved one? Could it be a broken family? Could it be financial trouble? Could it be broken dreams? No matter what the circumstance the words of the Messenger echo across time, “For with God nothing will be impossible.” (Luke 1:37 RSV) It maybe that God will take you around it, over it, under it, through it, or even in another direction but He is faithful to what He says. You need only trust Him and fix your eyes on Jesus not the storms.

Will you respond as did Mary? And Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her. (Luke 1:38 RSV)

      Jesus is… … …The Author of Hope!

Amen Gary! What a great reminder for me to keep my eyes focused on Jesus and not my situations. Thank you.
If I have a mystical experience, an experience that's so overwhelming that I know now that there's a God, the cognitive fallout from that is irrelevant. The fact that that experience can be explained by psychologists in numerous ways is irrelevant to the fact that I now know.
