Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing Jehovah-Jireh...
    A Dear Jesus Letter...
    Shalom!

“Behold, the Lord God comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.” (Isaiah 40:10–11, ESV)

    Dear Jesus,

Master, is that You Isaiah is talking about? If that is You is the “reward” Isaiah is talking about the forgiveness of my sins? Is the “recompense” Your Beauty for my ashes? I know You are my Shepherd, not because the Psalmist says so but because I have experienced Your life first hand and You’ve led me, cared for me, watched over me, tended to my wounds, and blest me like no other Shepherd ever could.

Jesus, I remember in March of 1981 following chest surgery and I wasn’t doing good, in fact I was losing ground and my surgeon was baffled by what was happening to me. I am sure You remember me looking up at the ceiling with tears in my eyes and terrible pain in my chest from the surgery, “Jesus,” I prayed, “if I am going to make it, it will only because of You.” Minutes later I fell into the most peaceful/restful night sleep I’d had in the previous week. Later that day my doctor figures out what as wrong and fixed the problem. Jesus, You picked me up in Your arms that night and rocked me to sleep didn’t You?

Since that night when You picked me up and rocked me to sleep You’ve never let me down have You? You’ve carried me ever since, through my good time, through my bad times, and all the times in between. Jesus, why do You do that for me? I know I’m not deserving of the things You’ve done for me but You’ve done them anyway. I want to tell the whole world of how You’ve been my greatest “reward” my greatest “recompense/compensator” because like me they’ll never make it on their own.

Jesus, I wish I could love You as much as You love me! I also pray for every person who reads this, and prayerfully it will reach a lot of readers!

In the Bonds of the Holy Spirit
    With Love,
    Gary (alias Crusty the Christian)

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” (2 Corinthians 13:14, ESV)
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary

    Amen Gary!!! Blessed message!
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)
