      Back from ISCA

Last I checked, JPH hadn't posted anything so before I head out the door, I'll post a brief something. Toodles and I were at ISCA in Raleigh last weekend for the conference on the Problem of Evil. I presented on the topic of Pop Culture and Evil. My performance might not have been the best due to my having an illness and extreme lack of sleep to which Toodles then had as well. We're both recovering, although I am at least going out into the world again and she hopes to be out doing more tomorrow.

Thus, I can't say how JPH did although he can say how I did as he sat in on my talk. I hope I have enough space to put up my paper, but if not, it can be expected to be on my blog sometime.

      Re: Back from ISCA

I had a lot of catch up to do, so only now had time to deliver an assessment. In spite of being sick, Nick did a bang up job in his presentation. One of the tricks was to give just enough context that an audience could sufficiently understand his background examples, without taking up too much time doing it. It's a hard balance to achieve and I'd say he accomplished it. The audience also seemed pleased, including Dr. Geisler, who sat next to me (and who I am sorry to say I didn't recognize immediately).

My own talk went OK though I made it more an informal discussion than a speech, given how few people were there. Many classes, as last year, had few or even no people in them. I think ISCA tends to schedule too many things at once.

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.
