my mac's iChat problem

I like my mac and rarely have issues with it, compared to frequent issues with Windows when I used to use it.

I'm using iChat for messaging, and iChat can make use of every messaging application that I know of, except for MSN. I have both Gmail chat and AIM set up. But starting this morning, and for some unknown reason, I've been getting frequent friendship requests on my Gmail setup from the people on my AIM setup (most of whom are T-webbers). I keep declining them, but every 10 mins or so that same "person" will request buddyship again. I talked to one person on AIM and asked if she was sending me buddyship requests on Gmail and she said she wasn't.

So something is messed up with my iChat.

I should add that I used my Gmail address to sign up for AIM. But I never had these friend requests happen until today.
