    Learning Greek

I would like to be able to read New Testament Greek. I can't afford to go to school so I need resources to teach myself. Can anyone recommend a good course? I can already kind of sight read individual words, but I'm a little rusty and I don't know any grammar. (I took a Greek and Latin vocabulary course in middle school.)

I can afford to buy books or computer courses, so it doesn't necessarily have to be free, but I won't object if it is.

Much appreciation for any direction or guidance in this.

Mounce is what we used. He's very meh but it will get you a decent start. I may have a study guide or two and there's a master vocab flashcard set on anki (free app for computer or Android) one of my classmates made.

Nice! I just recently purchased the vocab cards to study profusely while I'm on holiday.

Check the link in my .sig block. The free stuff is from the turn of the (20th) century, but people back then seem to have managed, and you can't beat the price.

I used N. Clayton Croy's The Elements of Biblical Greek, which is what Yale Divinity uses. It's very good, and you can find the answer key online (which is very useful for self-study...).

I looked up reviews of Mounce's textbook on Amazon, and people seem to think it's better in a classroom rather than for self study. Would you agree with that assessment? I can take it anyway if you want to be rid of it.
I am interested in the flashcard set you mentioned. How do I obtain that? I installed the app.

OBP, I have downloaded several of the books on that page to my phone and have started reading them already.

I will have to look into that one.

Thank you all for your help so far.

I don't see why it would be that hard outside of the classroom. Truett isn't using it anymore though so I can't give it to anyone else. I believe the title of the set is Dr. Weaver's something something. If you search Dr. Weaver it's the only set.
