The Quran permits sex with females too young to have periods
This first verse prescribes a waiting period (Iddat) of 3 menstrual cycles when divorcing a woman in order to preclude pregnancy.
This next verse states that if you have not had sex with your wife since the marriage agreement then there is no need for an Iddat.[2:228] Women who are divorced shall wait, keeping themselves apart, three (monthly) courses. And it is not lawful for them that they should conceal that which Allah hath created in their wombs
Finally the next verse states that women who do not have menstrual cycles have an iddat of 3 calendar months - this applies to women who's periods have ended, and those who's periods have not started[33:49] O ye who believe! If ye wed believing women and divorce them before ye have touched them, then there is no period that ye should reckon
[65:4] And for such of your women as despair of menstruation, if ye doubt, their period (of waiting) shall be three months, along with those who have it not

Allah the Exalted clarifies the waiting period of the woman in menopause. And that is the one whose menstruation has stopped due to her older age. Her `Iddah is three months instead of the three monthly cycles for those who menstruate, which is based upon the Ayah in Surah AlBaqarah. (2:228) The same for the young, who have not reached the years of menstruation. Their `Iddah is three months like those in menopause
Ibn Abi Hatim recorded a narration from Ubay bin Ka`b who said,
"O Allah's Messenger! When the Ayah in Surah Al-Baqarah was revealed prescribing the `Iddah of divorce, some people in Al-Madinah said, `There are still some women whose `Iddah has not been mentioned in the Qur'an. There are the young, the old whose menstruation is discontinued, and the pregnant.' Later on, this Ayah was revealed,

And [as for] those of your women who (read allā’ī or allā’i in both instances) no longer expect to menstruate, if you have any doubts, about their waiting period, their prescribed [waiting] period shall be three months, and [also for] those who have not yet menstruated, because of their young age

Ubayy ibn Ka‘b said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, some women of Medina are saying: there are other women who have not been mentioned!’ He asked him: ‘And who are they?’ He said: ‘Those who are too young [such that they have not started menstruating yet], those who are too old [whose menstruation has stopped] and those who are pregnant’. And so this verse (And for such of your women as despair of menstruation…) was revealed”.

(And for such of your women as despair of menstruation) because of old age, (if ye doubt) about their waiting period, (their period (of waiting) shall be three months) upon which another man asked: “O Messenger of Allah! What about the waiting period of those who do not have menstruation because they are too young?” (along with those who have it not) because of young age, their waiting period is three months.

If a woman does not menstruate, either because she is very young or old and past menopause, then her ‘iddah is three months...

They may not have menstruated as yet either because of young age, or delayed menstrual discharge as it happens in the case of some women, or because of no discharge at all throughout life which, though rare, may also be the case

This procedure applies in the case of the women whose 'iddah is calculated by menstrual cycles or clean cycles. It does not apply to women for whom waiting-period is not compulsory, as in the case of a woman who did not have privacy with her husband. If a man and a woman got
married but they did not get together in privacy, 'iddah is not necessary for her at all when she is divorced. Therefore, it is permissible to divorce such women during their monthly courses. Likewise, 'iddah for a woman who does not menstruate on account of minority of age
A girl is considered a woman as long as she is 9 years old and has a dream of a sexual nature during which her vagina excretes sexual lubricant

Iddat IS required for females too young to have started their menstrual cycles ("children")

Conclusion
The Quran permits a fully grown male to insert his penis into the body of a female that not only has not started her periods, but is also younger than the average age at which her peers are expected to start them. If she happens to have a "wet dream" on her 9th birthday she is eligible not only for a marriage contract, but also to consummate that marriage will full sexual intercourse.

Well, as much as I would like to stay and debate with some Muslims about this subject apparently I cannot because I am an atheist and I am not welcome - I hope you all find the links useful.

This section of TWeb is reserved for Theists. TheRationalizer is an atheist. In order to post in this section of TWeb all he had to do was ask one of the mods for permission (handled on a per thread basis).
Alternatively he was free to create the threads in Apologetics 301.
And just FYI, we also have a section of TWeb that is reserved for non-theists only, called Naturalism 101."If you can ever make any major religion look absolutely ludicrous, chances are you haven't understood it"

Yeah, some people have to ask permission to talk about a subject that others are free to discuss - I don't intend to hang around somewhere where I have to ask permission when others don't.
Seems I didn't unsubscribe from this thread....time to fix that.
