Female - Xmas & HanukkahSeeking new PDF program
I have a PDF application to fill out. I need to reproduce page 2 or 3 a couple times so that the document is longer and has all the information I want to type in it. If possible, I should have my resume and reference sheet in the same document. The best way I have to do this right now is to scan each page into a JPG on my computer and insert into Word, which I could print as a PDF file if I wanted. Is there way around this? Is there a free program where I can cut and paste in PDFs?

You need to download both the converter and the writer. It's easy to use.
The writer will install as a printer, and when you want to save something you have masked from a webpage, or want to convert a document, you need to select the CutePDF printer in your printer options when you press print. It will then print your selection as a pdf and you can save the file on your computer. It will open in Adobe Reader and you can do an actual print of it from there.
It works for me with not only web pages, but for Works documents that I have.

I've tried a bunch of these, and Cute is the best FREE one...
if you do a LOT of this, I would suggest buying nuance's PDF Converter Professional.
FREE being the operative word, however, Moss is right on, as always!

Re: Seeking new PDF program

I only tried it yesterday, after my sister sent it to me a couple of weeks ago. We get free knitting patterns online and so many of them are difficult to print right from the website.
This works great for me, considering all the experience I have had with it........

Ok, question before I install, "Requires PS2PDF converter such as Ghostscript (recommended). You can get the free GPL Ghostscript 8.15 here." Am I likely to have one of these on my computer already? I bought it last summer.

Could that be a PostScript to PDF thing?
If you have a PostScript file, you'll need the PS2PDF converter.
You can download those from lots of places, but the one you referred to should be fine.

I am re-reading the description of CutePDF. It looks like I just print a file to a PDF? I need to edit a file to include more than one PDF file. Can I merge PDF files with this program?

Oh, the combining files? Goodness, it's been YEARS since I used cutePDF and cuteFTP .... I started using the Professional version from Nuance, and I'm thinking maybe that's why -- because of the need to put multiple files into one PDF....
lemme do some checking on this.

Re: Seeking new PDF program

The most recent pictures I have are from her birthday, about a month ago. And I think I posted them in the 3 million picture thread?
Her Mommy and Daddy have been busy trying to sell their house and so on to take pictures every 5 minutes, I think.

As for Cute, I have emailed my sister, who put me on to Cute, to see if she knows about merging files with that program.

OK, it appears you need the professional version of CutePDF for this.
Among it's list of "improvements" is...
Combine Multiple PDF Documents into one PDF File
It is $49.95, which is half of the cost of the one I use. Lemme check for alternatives in the FREE world that do what you want.
Perhaps you can check out pdfForge which is free and claims...
