That's who was making the claim. Your statement in the second quote implies that you want someone who claims to know the whole entirety of truth.

That's a load of malarkey, Cu -- if that's what you understand that to mean, you're not as smart as I thought you were.
You REALLY think that pursuing truth means you have to have "all or nothing"?

      See? Strawman.

No need to get snippy young man...
the point Is that I see the statement as saying that you value "Truth" above the concept of community. That being said, it is no great leap to think that you consider your leaders to have the be all and end all of truth.

Yes, I would not want to be in a community of liars or people who were really misled or worshipped the giant green frog.

Yes, that is a HUGE leap, and I think you do it on purpose, so you can poopoo it. Let me be really really clear, Cu....

I don't think ANYBODY on earth has ALL of the truth, and anybody who claims to have ALL truth, unless it be Christ, is probably a cult leader.
      Is that clear enough?

      Glad you clarified

None said anything abut lying...And considering how little we know about the creator, the green frog part is as good a description as an angry white dude ;)

So in other words you acknowledge that your religion and religious leaders does not have the entirety of truth.
Good...Now you are close to understanding what I am saying. That IMO, I prefer to be in a religious community with people I like and get along with. That as I see it, I am not interested in how much you know unless I know how much you care.
and in my church community, that is our focus.

Texas is in a really bad drought - instead of burning straw, you could send it here - hay is selling for nearly $10 a bale!

So in other words you acknowledge that your religion and religious leaders does not have the entirety of truth.
Jesus IS Truth. As far as mortal man, where have I EVER implied that any of us has "the entirety of truth"?

Good...Now you are close to understanding what I am saying. That IMO, I prefer to be in a religious community with people I like and get along with.
You sound like the guy who says "I have no problem with going to hell -- all my friends will be there".

That as I see it, I am not interested in how much you know unless I know how much you care.
What a cute little cliche' -- and something we (in my churches) have taught for over 40 years --- "they don't care how much you know til they know how much you care".
But that's why you have to play this "everybody hates me" thing.

and in my church community, that is our focus.
