Crab Battle
noun
Words uttered to incite an all in brawl. Whoever says the words 'Crab Battle' will usually be spear tackled to the ground by anyone else present, and all parties will then engage in a fight to the death.
Reality untouchable, transparent, invisible to our fixed, restricted fields of vision. Existence taken for granted, absolute. Possessed, owned, controlled by the common sense-infected rational gaze, onward forever we walk among the ignorant. Never stray from the common lines.

Ladies and germs. I present to you, the paranoid ramblings of a fundie Atheist:

Look, I don't have much patience for ID myself, but this is just insane.
(Oh and in case you were wondering if this was a joke or a parody? Nope. In the comments section, she admits that she is as serious as a heart attack.)
God, this, the whole "SPORE R XIAN PROPAGANDA!" incident, the "D&D R RELIGIOUS INDOCTRINATION" cries, and so on start to make one wonder what exactly is in the kool aid the NAs are drinking."Weinberg's statement is true as far as it goes, but it is not the whole truth. To make it the whole truth, we must add an additional clause: 'And for bad people to do good things—that [also] takes religion.' The main point of Christianity is that it is a religion for sinners. Jesus made that very clear. When the Pharisees asked his disciples, "Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?" he said, "I come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance." I wrote this person off when I saw this line:
As Nate Winchester said about this movie (I think it was on his blog), the reason for Cars 2 being made is M-E-R-C-H-A-N-D-I-S-I-N-G. Looking for anything beyond that is fruitless.I am forced to look for meaning deeper than comedy, for a reason for such a story to be told. This is a Pixar film, after all, from the creative geniuses renowned for taking animated storytelling to a level heretofore unexperienced by humanity. Pixar does not commit cinema for no reason."One develops a cool and ironic sense of bitter humor, as well as a bloated ego, and this personality characteristic is the defining trait of atheists ancient and modern. If there is a meek and humble atheist or sorcerer brimming with the milk of human kindness, I have yet to meet him." -John C Wright
"Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded- here and there, now and then- are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as “bad luck.”"
— Robert A. Heinlein
"America's political system used to be about the pursuit of happiness. Now More and more of us want to stop chasing it and have it delivered."
"The government cannot love you, and any politics that works on a different assumption is destined for no good."
"Government money only pays for the "liberties" the government thinks you should have, and therefore it can determine how you exercise them. That turns liberties into privileges dispensed at the whim of the state."

Re: July 2011 Screwballs
What's funny is that in the Cars universe (as a buddy pointed out to me) we see small cars representing "insects" and "birds" through the film so it seems like there's just as much room to claim that Pixar is indoctrinating kids towards evolution (because the people cars clearly evolved from the animal cars).
Oh wait a second - IT'S A FLIPPIN KIDS MOVIE! Re: July 2011 Screwballs
I thought I would share an e-mail exchange I had a few years ago with Margie Phelps of Westboro Baptist Church. I had sent a message over regarding their misrepresentation of the other Christian who appeared with them on the Jeremy Kyle show over here in the United Kingdom. They wrongly said that he was a Roman Catholic when in actual fact he he was a member of the Salvation Army. The two groups are very different and I thought they ought to get little details like that right. My first message is addressed to Shirley Phelps-Roper, Margie's sister, but it was Margie who answered. My messages are in red and Margies are in green. Margie finishes her e-mail with the word "Magormissabib", meaning "fear on every side". It appears once in the Bible in Jeremiah 20:3. It is a symbolical name given to the priest Pashur, expressing the fate that was to befall him. Pashur was to be carried to Babylon, where he died. Such love from Margie:):
_____________
Dear Mrs Phelps-Roper,
I read your "response" to the Jeremy Kyle show edition that you appeared on. You presented inaccurate information. The Christian guy was not a Roman Catholic priest but a member of the Salvation Army. You might want to view the show again. You can do so here:
http://forum.ebaumsworld.com/showthread.php?p=3548566
By the way, you say you don't want to step foot on British soil. All I can say to that is good! Praise God you are not coming. You have already done enough damage to the cause of Christ over in America. My country needs you like a hole in the head.
In His service,

__________
Hello Jughead Jumbo-Tears Jason.
Regarding your squall-mail below, CRY ME A RIVER YOU BIG BABY!
Mutts like you aren't content unless you're sinning and have persuaded everyone around you to sin, 24/7. So now you're getting the wrath of God, and you don't like it! So you think you can mean-mouth the servants of God and change things. WRONG! Here's how you change things: Get a Bible; read it; and OBEY! Nothing else will suffice for you snively tyrannical British [censored] and UK Insurgents. Just shut your big kidney-pie hole and OBEY!
As for your hair-splitting about a Roman Catholic vs. a Salvation Army lying whore false prophet, two thoughts: First, potato, pohtawto -- in otherwords, whatever! There's no difference between the various brands ofreligious whores that fill up the landscape of this doomed earth. They're all busy compassing sea and land to make proselytes out of cowardly wimps like you, making YOU twofold more the child of hell than themselves. Second, so it appears Jackass Jason CAN pay attention to the detail, and get to the bottom of something, when he wants to. So give that level of attention to detail to the content of the Bible and the duty you have AND WILL ALWAYS HAVE, EVEN AS YOUR FRIZZLING AND FRYING IN HELL YOU ARROGANT [censored], and OBEY.
One more thing: The only "his" whose service you're in, you lying freak, is SATAN'S. Erase from your rabid rhetoric any notion that you're serving God. You're serving yourself and your papa the devil. Stop that lying pervert! You don't get to cuss God, cuss His standard, cuss His people, and slatherlies all over the place like your stinkin' feces, and then pretend you're serving God. Two fundamental requirements are missing with you: First, Goddidn't foreordain you unto eternal life. Second, you hate His commandments, and therefore you hate Him. So shut your blood-pudding hole and OBEY! He's notinterested in your slimy phrases, like "in His service," he's interested in OBEDIENCE!
Did I mention OBEY?
Magormissabib.
_______________
Dear Margie,
First of all let me apologise for the tone of my previous e-mail. It was a little on the hostile side but the things you are doing make me angry.
Thank you for replying to my e-mail. I am going to share your message to me with my friends online. I am sure they will be quite interested to see how you answer people who challenge your writings and activities.
First let me say that I do have a Bible, that I do read it and that it is my desire to obey and defend its teachings. I love God's word and it saddens me to see people like yourselves twisting and distorting it.
Your language and tone speaks for itself. You obviously have not heard that Christians are to preach the word of truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), and that we are to respond to challenges of our beliefs with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15). You told me that I should obey. Why do you not obey these clear commands in the pages of scripture?
My complaint that Shirley (I assume it was Shirley) misrepresented the Salvation Army member as a Roman Catholic was not hairsplitting. There is a significant difference between a Roman Catholic and a member of the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army does not hold to the many false doctrines of the Roman Catholic church such as the veneration of saints and images, a faith plus works salvation and the real presence of Christ in the Mass. They are evangelical, holding to justification by grace through faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). There are things I don't agree with about them, such as their not practising baptism or the Lord's Supper, but they are very different to Roman Catholicism. Shirley's misrepresentation of this man shows a lack of care and lack of regard for truth on her part. As a lawyer and a Christian she should know better. If she can't get a simple thing like that right, how can we rely on anything else she says?
Two fundamental requirements are missing in me you say: Firstly I am not ordained to salvation by God. Madam, please tell me how you can possibly know that? Has God shown you His secret decrees? Have you been able to peep into the Lamb's book of life to see whose names are written there? If not, then you have no basis for that statement.
Secondly you say I hate His commandments. What are you basing that on? You don't know me. You don't know how I live my life and what I believe besides what I have told you. I have written to Shirley, maybe you are basing that statement on what I have said to her. If so I would appreciate you showing me what I have said that makes you think I hate God's commandments.
There is something I really want to know. The apostle Paul said the following:
"When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling" (1 Corinthians 2:1-3).
Where is the preaching of the cross in your ministry? You had almost a full hour on the Jeremy Kyle show but not once did you mention the atoning death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. NOT ONCE! You had a wonderful opportunity to present the finished work of Jesus Christ on that show. You said nothing about the fact that He died and bore the wrath and punishment of God on behalf of sinners (1 Peter 2:24), so that all who repent of their sins trusting in Him will be saved and receive eternal life (John 3:16). None of your signs say anything about God's wonderful grace and love in sending Jesus to die for sinners either . If you truly know Christ and His gospel, why is the cross not at the very centre of your preaching as it was at the centre of the Apostle Paul's? Can you really say that you are preaching the gospel Margie?
Actually, I would appreciate it greatly if one of you would respond to my original e-mail. There were a number of important points which I think need addressing. If you have time:)
Yours in His service,
Jason Ayers
____________
Dear Margie,
First of all let me apologise for the tone of my previous e-mail. It was a little on the hostile side but the things you are doing make me angry. This isn't about what YOU want. It's about your duty to God.
Thank you for replying to my e-mail. I am going to share your message to me with my friends online. I am sure they will be quite interested to see how you answer people who challenge your writings and activities. Please do; in fact I was contemplating posting it as a Dear Margie at www.godhatesfags.com; but if you spread it around that'll save me the trouble. Thanks.
First let me say that I do have a Bible, that I do read it and that it is my desire to obey and defend its teachings. I love God's word and it saddens me to see people like yourselves twisting and distorting it. These are just words; they amount to nothing. Again, your "sadness" is IRRELEVANT. We don't serve you; we serve God. Satan loves to accuse the brethren of distorting the Bible. I see you learned well from your father.
If you actually did study the Scriptures, you would have a PROPER understanding of these words. You don't show "love" by lying to people about hell and eternity. Love thy neighbor is first issued as a directive in Lev. 19, and from there it is spoken of as one of the two laws on which all the commandments hang, also called by James the Royal Law. It's an important matter. The question is, what does it mean? Tell people they can sin like the devil himself and still go to heaven? NO! I'm attaching the verses on it, for you to read. It means REBUKE THEM FOR THEIR SIN, encourage them to obey God so they don't incur His wrath, and you yourself obey the commandments as to them. That's the only SCRIPTURAL definition of love. You saps nowadays want to pretend your soppy self-serving LIES are love. WRONG. You need to get Thomas Brooks' Precious Remedies Against Satan's Devices and READ IT. You all pretend you get to use God's precious tender mercy TOWARDS HIS PEOPLE AND ONLY HIS PEOPLE to justify your idolatry and proud sin.
There are things I don't agree about them, such as their not practising baptism or the Lord's Supper, but they are very different to Roman Catholicism. Shirley's misrepresentation of this man shows a lack of care and lack of regard for truth on her part. As a lawyer and a Christian she should know better. If she can't get a simple thing like that right, how can we rely on anything else she says? BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. You are majoring in the minors, my friend. He's a lying whore false prophet by whatever ilk. Focus on the important issues. That's like saying Christ should have focused on the differences between the scribes and Pharisees as they were hanging him on the cross. Get real! They were lying theologians of his day, just like the Roman Catholics, salvation army, Methodist, Episcopalians, Lutherans, Baptists, southern Baptists, etc., etc., etc., of today.
By your fruits I know it! Christ told the apostles that they SHALL know a man by his fruits. By what's coming out of your mouth. If you were one of God's elect you would love what we do and you would be doing it with us. Pure and simple. Don't give me that fanciful crap about secret decrees. He's revealed His word and His standard to all mankind. The wrath of God is revealed from Heaven EVERY DAY against all unrighteousness, and against them -- LIKE YOU -- who hold (that word is "choke" or "suppress") the truth in unrighteousness. So just shut your blasphemous mouth about my precious savior's Book of Life. It DOES NOT PERTAIN TO YOU. I know what's coming out of your hateful mouth. You hate God, you hate His people, and you hate HIS PRECIOUS HATE. Shame on you! Now you either elevate the dialogue past your ego, and get focused on what the Word of God ACTUALLY says, and quit whining about whether Shirley got the right title for one of the millions of lying whores across the globe, or you go into the delete column.
And please SHARE EVERY SINGLE WORD OF THIS WITH EVERY PERSON YOU CAN FIND. If not, you hate them.
Magormissabib.
___________
And the lack of preaching of the cross in your ministry?
______________
Listen heretic, what is the POINT of Christ dying on the cross if any jake legged reprobate can claim salvation? What's the POINT of Christ dying on the cross if Doomed america is in full rebellion against His standard? What's the POINT of Christ dying on the cross if not to glorify God by execution on HIS PLAN which includes sending most of mankind to hell? What's the POINT of Christ dying on the cross if the feeble human creature can circumvent His will by simply refusing to "accept him?" Every word we utter is about the cross; you're just too blind and rebellious to see it. You HATE the cross. How dare you bring up the cross. The cross does not pertain to you. You are the kind of arrogant Son of Belial who would have screamed, "Give us Barabus. Crucify him. His blood be on our hands and those of our children!" That's what you're doing now. That's it for you -- into delete you go. Every issue you address has been spoken of extensively at www.godhatesfags.com, so go read it, and OBEY.
_______________
Listen heretic, what is the POINT of Christ dying on the cross if any jake legged reprobate can claim salvation?
I didn't say that though did I. I completely agree that no one can come to Christ unless drawn by the Father (John 6:44). I am very much a Calvinist when it comes to the way of salvation Margie, but we don't know who the Elect are, so we are to preach about the cross to everyone:
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20).
Paul said:
"When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.[a] 2For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling" (1 Corinthians 2:1-3).
You don't preach on the cross Margie. All you seem to say is that God hates homosexuals, God hates America for tolerating homosexuals and America is doomed. That's all you say. What is anyone to do with that? How can they obey the gospel and put themselves right with God if you don't tell them to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and trust in His atoning death?
I do not hate the cross. The cross is always at the very centre of my gospel presentation (unlike yours). It is of huge importants to me.
Yours in His service,
Jason Ayers
____________
Margie,
Ok, well I am probably on the ignore list now but I am responding to the main points of your previous e-mail anyway. I want my friends to see my response if nothing else.
First of all let me say that I completly agree that we should warn people about the perils of sin. That is a very important part of any gospel presentation I have given. It very important to warn people that outside of Christ they stand condemned already (John 3:18) "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23) and that without Christ we stand guilty and condemned by a Holy God. I certainly do not wish to shy away from preaching these truths, but I try to do so in a loving way. I don't for example go around calling non-Christians names like the ones you have called me, or picket thier loved one's funeral. In short I don't attempt to go out of my way to be as offensive as possible. I also go beyond the judgements of God and provide them with the solution to their standing before God: that Jesus Christ died for sinners (Romans 5:8) and all who repent and believe in Him will be saved (John 3:16). Let God judge my methods and yours.
Shirley's misrepresentation of that man on the Jeremy Kyle show is very serious. Nothing is achieved by misrepresenting people. Jesus never misrepresented someone's beliefs like that. Shirley's failure to properly represent people's beliefs or associations accurately discredits her. It shows she has very little regard for truth or accuracy. That means we can't rely on anything she says.
You know I am not one of God's elect because of my fruits. Well let's have a look at the fruit of the Spirit and see how you measure up:
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control" (Galatians 5:22-23).
As far as I can see you don't possess any of these qualities.
You maintain that I am not one of God's Elect based on what I have said to you. Ok, but you still can't say that I am not one of God's Elect because for all you know, God might decide to call me to salvation later in life. You don't know who the Elect are and you should not be telling people that you do.
Yours in His service,
Jason Ayers
____________
Well there you have it folks. I tried to engage Margie but she was not interested in any rational or sensible discussion. There is a lot more I would like to have discussed with her but she pulled the plug on the discussion because I dared to call her on her group's lack of concern for the cross of Christ. I don't think that these people can withstand careful examination of their beliefs and practices.Last edited by ukchristian28; July 30th 2011 at 08:06 PM.

Re: July 2011 Screwballs
Precisely. But then again, I find that fanatics often have much in common with each other even across the chasm of ideology. For example, just as Chick railed against rock music, so did O'Hare.
As someone on a forum once said, "There is not a single crime that Atheists can accuse the Religious of committing that they haven't committed themselves"."Weinberg's statement is true as far as it goes, but it is not the whole truth. To make it the whole truth, we must add an additional clause: 'And for bad people to do good things—that [also] takes religion.' The main point of Christianity is that it is a religion for sinners.
