Where does the Tea party fit into our theology?
Well the Tea Partiers have just about scared me to death. Since they are still around and since their political philosophy now has world wide repercussions and since I can't find anything about them in a biblical concordance, I felt certain that the theologs on this site would have the answers.
Seeing as how this, know-it-all group, even got the original tea party story wrong and seeing as how they want to do a little circumcision act on the government and in the process want to cut out help to widows and children it seems this august, web-site body ,ought to have some weighty opinions on how they fit into the master plan.
My opinion is that they see a world coming to an end and think that their drastic actions might keep it going a little longer. In reality they are old and it is their personal life that is coming to an end and they are afraid to accept that reality. Historically there is always a group of old farts who like to mess things up
before they make their grand exit. In our generation, they have organized themselves into the Tea Party.
It doesn't help that they think of themselves as all knowing and working on God's behalf. What sayest thou?
