Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing Jehovah-Jireh...
THE LIGHT shines in the darkness...
    Shalom!

“We glide along the tides of time as swiftly as a racing river and vanish as quickly as a dream. We are like grass that is green in the morning but mowed down and withered before the evening shadows fall. We die beneath your anger; we are overwhelmed by your wrath. You spread out our sins before you—our secret sins—and see them all. No wonder the years are long and heavy here beneath your wrath. All our days are filled with sighing.” (Psalm 90:5–9, The Living Bible)

I believe there at times when the Psalmist targeted us in mind when he wrote the Psalms. This mornings scripture especially applies to me with that fresh in my mind I wrote in my journal, “I struggle with the wording “overwhelmed by Your wrath” LORD. Is that what is happening to me? Here’s my take on what it means to be “overwhelmed by Your wrath”. You go into a Stealth Mode where out of Your Vast Love for me You standby offering only Love yet temporary offering yet in a real and powerful way that is a good thing, but WOW! Is it ever painful for me because I am blind to the future and know it only as possibilities. One of our problems is because we are living in a negative environment positivity takes a backseat to negativity.”

Yet within my world of negativity I’ve discovered an invisible Light surrounding me so powerful and piercing darkness cannot extinguish it or deflect it and as I write these words it is DRAWING ME back across the line of positivity and negativity. “I waited patiently for God to help me; then he listened and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out from the bog and the mire, and set my feet on a hard, firm path, and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, of praises to our God. Now many will hear of the glorious things he did for me, and stand in awe before the Lord, and put their trust in him. Many blessings are given to those who trust the Lord and have no confidence in those who are proud or who trust in idols.” (Psalm 40:1–4, The Living Bible)

And finally there’s another powerful and piercing Ray of Light coming from THE LIGHT! “I will keep on expecting you to help me. I praise you more and more. I cannot count the times when you have faithfully rescued me from danger. I will tell everyone how good you are, and of your constant, daily care. I walk in the strength of the Lord God. I tell everyone that you alone are just and good.” (Psalm 71:14–16, The Living Bible)

"When we embrace the darkness yet at the same time refuse to live in it THE LIGHT changes the darkness into a light of hope and love!" I know because that is what is going slowly inside me right now, and so I wait, impatiently but wait never-the-less!

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.” (2 Thessalonians 3:16, NLT)
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
