Re: Burn in hell (aka miss an episode of Sesame Street)
With all this talk of comfy chairs, I'm beginning to think HEEDLESS_OF_ERROR has mistaken a Monty Python skit for an apologetic.

Re: Burn in hell (aka miss an episode of Sesame Street)
The very fact that you speak of having drinks with people as the metaphorical apogee speaks for itself in terms of your shallow perceptions of the quality of life -- and your missing the point of what I say about hell being defined by lacking things.
But as it happens, the beer WILL be warm. And here's a joke that tells the story:
***
A man went to hell and was shown various rooms from which to select his fate. In one room was Farrah Fawcett sitting on a couch with a used car salesman.
"I like his punishment, I'll take it," the man said.
The devil turned and gave him a strange look, and said:
"It's not him being punished. It's Farrah Fawcett."

Re: Burn in hell (aka miss an episode of Sesame Street)
Here's another one.
***
A man was taken from room to room in hell to decide his fate.
In the first room, everyone was standing on their heads on a brick floor.
In the second room, everyone was standing on their heads on a wooden floor.
In the third room, everyone was standing knee deep in manure. But each person was holding a cup of coffee, too.
"This doesn't look as bad as the others. I'll take it," the man said.
He walked in, and just as the door slammed behind him for good, a voice came on overhead:
"All right, coffee break's over! Time to go back to standing on your heads!"

Re: Burn in hell (aka miss an episode of Sesame Street)
Forcing people to stand on their head in fecal matter forever and ever is torture, genius. Try again.
Face it, Holdummy, either hell isn't that bad (warm beer, oh noes!) , which means nobody cares much about going there, or its torture forever and ever which makes Biblegod a sadistic monster. Which is it?Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces--Malachi 2:3
I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy--Deuteronomy 32:42

Re: Burn in hell (aka miss an episode of Sesame Street)
As an aside:
In addition to the above, Whiner-Failure has failed to grasp that:And just to really twist the knife here for all you "argument from outrage" sheeple out there), I HAVE used the proper form of argument. Christianity sets a standard and breaks it. Holding himself, for example, on the issue of Jephthah's vow (http://www.tektonics.org/gk/jepthah.html) accepted that if we had a real human sacrifice on our hands that would be a significant issue (Holding: "If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then we have a very disturbing story indeed, one that suggests that God endorsed a human sacrifice -- implicity if not explicitly."). Hence, it would be possible for the Bible to sabotage itself by being inconsistent. That's exactly the logical form of how I've argued and no canned trope that you've conditioned yourself to hurl at any-skeptic-with-moral-talk will erase that.
1) My point re "argument by outrage" in my article is not that outrage is not possible as an immediate reaction to any particular account. My point is that it does not serve as substitute for a rational argument showing that the outrage is justified.
2) Even so, "disturbing" does not mean "unresolvable cause for outrage or objection".
Whiner-Failure has spent so many years hating himself (and me) that he doesn't bother to actually get a handle on what I'm arguing. Is it any wonder he wants to wave of his ignorance on subjects like entrapment, ancient metaphors, and patronage? Of course he does. It's much simpler to just whine about how mean God is, because you don't need to argue rationally for that; you just need to make people stop thinking and get them to cry.
The absurdity as well is that I have laid out what I think the experience of hell will be like...not uncomfy chairs, not frozen states...and he's too insensate to go looking for it.

Uh huh. We'll see what you have to say after your fourth warm beer (also a joke, genius, not a theological treatise).Face it, Holdummy, either hell isn't that bad (warm beer, oh noes!) , which means nobody cares much about going there, or its torture forever and ever which makes Biblegod a sadistic monster. No, I'll just let you flounder around guessing so you can make an even more complete jackass of yourself.

That could of course also be your answer.
By the way, Irene wasn't sent to punish you by making you lose your power so you wouldn't be on here.
It was sent to reward US.
