Re: Burn in hell (aka miss an episode of Sesame Street)
Whatasamatter? Afraid the dilemma I stated rings a bit...true? Tell me specifically what my punishment will probably be

BTW, also, what happens to Jews? After all, they knew the supposed Jesus of Nazareth the best, and they said "nope, no sale, not the Christ, just another crackpot rabbi".Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces--Malachi 2:3
I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy--Deuteronomy 32:42

BTW, doesn't Christian theology say that one of the best parts of heaven is watching the unbelievers get punished forever and ever and ever? You guys certainly seem to look forward to it.

No, dumbass, it doesn't. That was a rationale used by a handful of writers who opted for the litreral fire and torture view, and it would have no bearing on my view.
We'd rather you take a bath. You stink. And is that you in your avatar? A picture of the last time you had a bath -- in 1867?You guys certainly seem to look forward to it.

Re: Burn in hell (aka miss an episode of Sesame Street)
Yup, Holdummy is

As to the Jews, so you think a religious community that believes in part of the same book you do and worships the same God (if not the same conception of said God) will end up the same place as me? Not in a better place?
Or, alternately, that the Jews that saw Jesus in real life but rejected him will not get worse treatment? After all they had far more first-hand evidence and experience with him than I do!
Still looking to see what my treatment will be. If you won't tell me, I guess it's because either God is a sadist or his punishment is weak tea.Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces--Malachi 2:3
I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy--Deuteronomy 32:42

Re: Burn in hell (aka miss an episode of Sesame Street)
If only you knew how ironically stupid you sound.

Not wholly the same book, no, and the "same conception" divided off c. 30 AD. Not only that, Deuteronomy tells them to listen to a prophet like Moses that God will send -- eg, Jesus. So any person signed on the OT covenant is disobeying it if they don't follow Jesus. Nice try at politically correct silliness, though. As to the Jews, so you think a religious community that believes in part of the same book you do and worships the same God (if not the same conception of said God)
Or, because it's just so much fun to torture you THIS way...Still looking to see what my treatment will be. If you won't tell me, I guess it's because either God is a sadist or his punishment is weak tea.
I mean, as if YOU really wanted an honest answer...ha ha!

Re: Burn in hell (aka miss an episode of Sesame Street)
Yawn. Non-answers. Looks like I hit a nerve
It's getting obvious you don't HAVE an answer you can give without looking like a fool. Tell me what fate awaits me
The question remains about other religions: do Jews get the same punishment as wholly infidel atheists like myself? Or the same? How about Muslims who also claim to believe in the Abrahamic Bronze Age God? What about Catholics, are they codemed? What about people who knew Jesus personally but still said "no sale!" vs. those who have only the Bible and church traditions?
Funny how the preachers who always assure me of a literal hell can't wait to describe all the torture and pain that will be inflicted on me according to their view, while the best Holding can do is....warm beer. And then stops at that.

Re: Burn in hell (aka miss an episode of Sesame Street)
OK, stupid, I'm going to expose you as a deep-fried fool. But I'll try to draw it out for entertainment purposes.
You can get to the answer from the FRONT PAGE OF MY WEBSITE.
Yeah, I was hiding it in shame all right.
Hey dumbass...know how "shame" works? Ask: If a murderer supposed to be as ashamed of himself as someone who steals a candy bar? Ever hear of, "as you sow, so shall you reap"?The question remains about other religions: do Jews get the same punishment as wholly infidel atheists like myself?
But eventually, whiners like you will come up with some way to call warm beer "torture".......warm beer. And then stops at that.

Whiner-Failure is not exceptional among atheists in pontificating about reputed atrocities performed by God, so any alleged "change in heart" upon a confrontation such as described by him and Russell would be nothing more than a pandering falsehood -- the difference being that whereas Russell here was at least possibly honest, Whiner-Failure is not.
Is Whiner-Failure really going to say that yes, he'll sincerely bow the knee to a deity that he says is cruel, merciless, murderous? Or will he now change his mind and agree with me and Miller about such events as the war against the Canaanites -- just to kiss-up his way into eternity?
If so, that says a lot about his principles...but nothing we haven't already seen here.

Re: Burn in hell (aka miss an episode of Sesame Street)
And this too:
COUGH. Apart from the wimpiness of personalities who say this, here's a pro tip: The "stress" (pfft) of guilt and shame -- dealing here with that for real, not imagined offenses -- is in direct proportion to the depth to which those who feel it choose to focus or obsess on it. Because it (shame) has to do with what you think of how OTHERS perceive you, if you abandoned all sense of self-importance, you'd also get farther and farther away from any "stress" (guffaw) you might experience because of it.

Shorter Holdummy: BUY MT BOOK! IT'S IN MY BOOK! BOOK!
No different that Pat Robertson and John Hagaee. Always out to take another buck from the lemmings following you Jesus freaks right off the cliff. Anyway I doubt it was written especially for me. Come on, Holdummy. Tell me the horribleness of my fate. So far it doesn't sound all that bad.
BTW, Biblegod isn't sending people to your lame, not-scary hell because of what they did, but because of what they believed. AKA, Thoughtcrime.
ETA: BTW, Holdummy, Arabia in the time of Muhammad was an agonistic society and they sure as hell (pun intended!) believed in hell as a place of physical torture and burning forever and ever and ever.Last edited by Reality Check; September 3rd 2011 at 12:06 PM.
